Thanks! I actually called Financial Aid this morning and was told they have been processing them, and will continue to process them the rest of this week. We should get an email soon  Smile

NOTE THAT THIS DOCUMENT DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY REFUND INFORMATION

*To remain eligible for FINANCIAL AID you must be engaging in 6 credits of online or guided study courses/3 credits for Graduate in the specified term.

*Beginning July 2021-Awarded Pell grant amount is based on 12 credit registration per term.  If the Pell amount disbursed is less than term award amount, its due to a term registration of less than 12 credits.

The following aid/scholarship has been disbursed, meaning it has been applied to your student financial account with Thomas Edison State University. If the amount is NEGATIVE (i.e. looks like -$100) the aid has been REMOVED FROM your student financial account with Thomas Edison State University.

Transmit Date:      Award Type:         Transmit Amount:

03/29/2022     HRFOT    $     XXX.XX

         $

         $

         $

         $

IF your disbursement created a credit balance on your student account, a check will be mailed to you within 14 days.  Checks MAY NOT be picked up in person.

Failure to cash a financial aid refund check will NOT eliminate your total loan amount.

Some scholarships are non-refundable.

If you are receiving a loan, you have the right to cancel all or part of this loan within 14 days of this notice.  If any portion of this loan is being used to pay charges on your student account, cancellation of the loan in full or in part may create a balance on your student account, which you are expected to pay in full.  Please email your request to finaid@tesu.edu.
If you are receiving a Pell grant and you have NO outstanding balance, your Pell Grant SHOULD be disbursed by the 7th day of the term.  Direct loans will be disbursed around the 30th day of the term.

The federal government is the lender for all subsidized and unsubsidized loans. The U.S. Department of Education can be reached at 1-800-848-0979 or at

I don't see an eligible term in the email; does that mean that the 6-credits per term doesn't apply to those of us who received this money?

My daughter only took 6 credits just for the one month of March.  She still received the money.  She doesn't have any other financial aid either.
