Fastest IT degree?

Just an FYI, SNHU will probably be substantially more than the other things we're talking about here.  30cr minimum (depending on how they bring in transfer credits) is going to be $10k.  It could be quite a bit more if they won't let you transfer in as many courses into the major.

Huh
PUG should only be considered if you're very, very good at writing college papers. My understanding from the one person who seemed to give relatively positive feedback on PUG is that writing is their strongest skill.

The BS in Analytics in ExcelTrack is at least 1 paper for every credit. So PUG breaks their courses down. If you're taking a 5 credit course (they're on the quarter system not semester system like most schools) in Data Analytics (totally a fictitious name), then this course will be broken down into 5 1 credit courses. Each 1 credit course will have at least 1 paper to write. Some have 2-3 papers. There are no exams. Unless the Capstone has changed, it has to be taken in its own term and your tuition is per credit not the flat ExcelTrack fee. There are also required weekly meetings with the instructor at set time. If you miss the meeting, you had to meet with the instructor for the material and write a paper on what was covered in the meeting in addition to the weekly assignment. My husband's Capstone course took 10 weeks so there were 8-9 meetings, weekly discussions with responses, and at least 1 paper a week plus multiple chapters for the reading. It was a LOT of writing.

We had multiple people on DF take the Capstone on ExcelTrack along with other courses at the same time.

The Capstone is like two courses in one so keep that in mind.

They must have changed the Capstone policy. He graduated in May 2022 and that was what he had to deal with.

right, taking exceltrack+capstone at same term is allowed for certain number of remaining exceltrack units, not sure how many tho. If there are still tons of unfinished exceltrack units, they might not allow taking capstone in the same term.

however, taking capstone+exceltrack at same term won't save costs, as we still have to pay exceltrack tuition+regular per credit tuition for capstone anyway.

Thank you for sharing the links these threads, I appreciate that.

I haven't made up my mind yet; but for now, I'm planning on attending PUG. While the writing sounds difficult; I find in very encouraging that it sounds like everyone who has shared their experience has graduated from PUG or is on their way to doing so. Also, I don't think I've heard of anyone getting less than a 4.0 GPA???

I have some external motivation for wanting to do PUG. My little sister works at Walmart, and at Walmart I believe they offer full reimbursement for PUG tuition. Maybe if I enroll, I can talk her into joining me. So, I've applied to PUG, my biggest complaint is that I won't be able to start classes until the next enrollment date of 8/24. So, I'll probably continue to explore other options in the meantime.
