At the very least Cody needs to be given access to add classes. He's supposed to be checking on your status. If he sees you're near an end he should be allowed to go "oh hey I'm adding X because you're capable of it! Great job!"
And their end of terms shouldn't FAIL it should continue to the next term.

This 100%!!!
There needs to be two people with access to make any changes a student needs. I had a little bit of a back and forth trying to get a class dropped on time. Despite being reassured I was exempt from the normal time limit to drop without penalty (class was not finished despite being live so it was their fault) I still wanted it GONE on time just in case. It got done, but it could have been smoother.
For anyone needing a class, just make sure to put the right "Please add another class" title. Jessica added a class for me late Tuesday night that went live Wed morning so she is taking care of them. That will be my last class!

I'm guessing there are certain regulations with financial aid and the way school works in reporting the classes you take.
With WGU there is activating and enrolling in the course.
You can activate a course at any time, which just locks you to the current version of the course. This will give you access to the course materials, pre-assessments, etc.
Enrolling in the course is what brings it into your term, and commits you to finish it during that term. You obviously only want to do this for courses you can finish during the time you have left.
Other CBE schools especially the ones with shorter terms should adopt a similar method.
Some courses end up being longer or harder than expected, so it would help to get a peek at the course before fully committing.
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience: CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

UMPI doesn't have activating and enrolling. You ask for a class to be added. It's added usually the next day and it's open to you and you're required to complete it within the term. You have zero access to classes until they're added to your account. You don't even know what classes are available. You have to ask your advisor which just gives them even more work.

Finished ENG 121 and HUM 103 already. My last UMPI class is HTY 307 Arab-Israeli Conflict which should be pretty fast. I am about 40% through Spanish 2 at study.com as well.

Hi,
I have a friend in Financial Management (BUS 325). Does anyone have any recommendations for outside sources for learning this info?
Also, does anyone know how to solve this problem? (Already emailed the professor & Cody - waiting to hear back from them).
Quote:A 6% semiannual coupon bond has 8 years until maturity. Its quoted price is 107.50. If its YTM stays constant, what should be its quoted price 1 year from now?
On another note, does anyone have suggestions for a upper level elective? Preferably easier since the Financial Management is very challenging!
Already will take: Bus 345 Database Management & BUS 440 Business Analytics next term.
Already have credit for BUS 350 Business Law I/Legal Environment, BUS 330 (102) Marketing Management , BUS 321 (106) Human Resource Management/Human Resources, HTY 439 (108) Vietnam Wars.
Does anyone have any experience with ..
Children's Literature EDU 357: Do you have to purchase the books or have access to a public library? Would a large home library be sufficient? Do you have some leeway in the topic or do you have to cover all of the politically correct agenda topics?
HTY 456 Films of the Cold War. Are specific films required or do you have a list from which to choose? If required, can you provide any examples of the films? Is this a possibility for a student who can't handle much violence (could watch clipped versions of the films), or would that make this a bad choice? I know many in this genre are rated 'R', but there are also many older ones rated lower.
POS 332 Constitutional Law: Any feedback?
Thank you!

Films of the Cold War:
All of the films are pre-1965 . They are all embedded within the class environment and available for free.
There are a lot of old film noirs like The Hitchhiker and Double Indemnity, propaganda like The Red Menace and I Married a Communist, some old horror/sci fi like the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Blob, and THEM. There are several episodes of The Twilight Zone and one of Leave it to Beaver. Nothing is R rated or even close. There is a lot more psychological terror than actual violence. THEM might be the scariest, but I have loved that movie since I was a child so I might be a bad judge.
There is a lot of videos and reading for this class buy I really enjoyed it.
----------
Just a warning... If you are very sensitive to violence, avoid HTY 439 Vietnam. The documentary footage is brutal at times. I had seen the required documentary before and it was still a lot to take in.

Financial Management shows you how to get through the math problems. The formulas are in the text as well.
Don't know what your degree is and what you need. Hard to recommend classes without that info.
