TESC BSAST in Military Technology Leadership
#1
I'm currently searching for the best way to achieve a bachelors, this is mainly for advancement points in the military ( not a commissioning, Navy gives you points based on your level of education) so the field of study doesn't much matter.

So I found this possible degree option, Thomas Edison State College: Military Technology Leadership

Now i'm currently working on my As in general studies from City University of Seattle, but just need my English and Capstone.
http://www.degreeforum.net/military-disc...udies.html

My question is how can I make this work for me the best?
Do a TECEP/Guided study course to cover my English req for City U? that way I have 3 credits towards my TESC residency?
Or do the College comp Clep, City U Capstone then enroll with TESC and continue from there?
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction and provide guidance towards my goal, if you have any recommendations towards other degrees feel free to post.
Thank you

Planning of enrolling with Aleks for statistics soon also.

Trigonometry - Aleks

try uploading your JST to this site https://mvp.tesc.edu
It does a pretty good job in telling you how your credits will transfer to TESC and a good degree fit. If the degree doesn't matter, I think you can get done more quickly with a degree in liberal studies or even business. you may have to take a bunch of courses with the BAST. But if you prefer the BAST, its understandable.

EDIT: Actually, with looking at your JST, the BSAT is not a bad fit. you can test out of most of it and will have to take only a few online courses.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Prloko,

Thank you very much for the link, I made a profile and uploaded my JFT.
I am currently looking at 3 degree plans that seem to give me the most bang for my buck, the BSAT in military tech being one of them.

Here are the 3 degree plans that seem the best fit.
im pretty torn between them.
I have to do more research and find out if my other credits will transfer to something besides gen eds.

What can you do with a BSAST in Military Technology Leadership? I know you said it is just for advancement points but if something happened would you be comfortable with this degree trying to find a job? ( I really don't know what you can do with this degree, it could set you up for a lot of government jobs. just trying to help you push yourself in the right direction)

gingerbeefE,
I appreciate your concern. As of right now I work as an Industrial Mechanic/Electrician ( have all my hours for journeyman but have to log them) and am planning to pursue a degree in renewable energy (An ASS from a brick and mortar school). So that being said maybe the BSAST in Electrical Technology might be a better option.
Although like I said the BSAST in Military Technology Leadership degree would just be for advancement points with the Navy reserves.

I wouldn't even use the MLT designation on a rÃsumÃ. If Im hiring, with rhe exception of some jobs, id hire someone with a BSAST over a liberal studies degree.

But your point is valid. A business degree can be easily jad with mostly testing out, so would a ls degree.
