I came across a post here that said that Failed CLEP test will now show up on your Excelsior Transcript. Is this true? It's been a while since I took a CLEP exam and I can't remember if you can wait to see if you pass the test before sending the results to the school?

I believe that I may have been the source of this error. I did have an advisor tell me that, but actually he got it wrong. The only failed exams that will show up on your transcript is Excelsior exams.
A failed DSST or Clep does not get sent to your college.
Should make you feel better.

F's on an excelsior exam will be reported, it will not be factored into your GPA but it will be on your transcript, although if you have already completed your degree with Excelsior, be it a BA or an AA, it will not be listed on that transcript. it will be on subsequent degrees earned by them. i realize this only applies to a handful of us but I was just putting that out there.
