After seeing multiple requests for access to the Peterson practice tests, I spent some time yesterday looking up "Testing & Education Reference Center" on google (I do not understand why this is so difficult for people to do!). I was amazed to find several public library systems that not only had a subscription to this database, but their access to the database did NOT require a library card bar code or pin number!
Take your pick as it doesn't matter where you live to get into the Testing & Education Reference Center database. You might need to find a search box if it is not obvious how to find the link to their databases.
* Fauquier County Public Library
* Temple University Libraries
* Poughkeepsie Public Library District
* Salt Lake County Library Services
* University of Florida Libraries

Idk where you got the idea that you don't need their library card to access their systems. The hour I spent attempting to access the systems of the places you mentioned could have been better spent studying for my upcoming clep.

Sorry, Sterling. Let me do this for you!
*Fauquier Library (
Fauquier County Public Library -- Articles and More) - go down to College, Careers & Test Prep and click on TERC link
* Temple University (
Testing & Education Reference Center | Temple University Libraries) - click on URL link provided
* Poughkeepsie Public Library District (
Databases by Subject) - go down to Career & Job Information and click on TERC from Gale Center link
* University of Florida Libraries (
Test Preparation Resources - Standardized Test Preparation - Guides @ UF at University of Florida) - near top of the list
* Salt Lake County Library Services (
SLCoLibrary.org: Careers & Tests) - link at top of list under "Premium Resources"
Let me reiterate, I found these from Google. If you google "Testing & Education Reference Center" (in quotes!) and the name of the library system, you should be directed to the URLs from above. When I click on the TERC link (wherever it is on the page), I get taken right into the database listing without any prompting for a library card. Unfortunately, if you go to the library's home page and attempt to find their subscribed databases, you will be prompted for a library card.
I am sure many of you are more proficient than I am on the computer, but this is just google.

This is wonderful! However, the TERC doesn't seem to have practice tests for all of the DSST exams...

Nope, for some reason no one has jumped on the DSST bandwagon. It is unfortunate, but many of you have pressed on anyway!
