You get complete access to the website with either membership. You can save some money by buying a longer (Platinum) subscription, which just depends on your needs.

I recommend getting a hold of a Peterson's guide (the general exam book has an excellent review section for the English CLEP) and reading Strunk & White's Elements of Style, an excellent starting place for enjoying grammar.

IC Standard costs $20 per month. Platinum is $108 for six months. No other difference. With Platinum you save $12 if you think you you will use their service of six months.

Join IC, and then check the specific exam feedback section. You won't be sorry; best money I ever spent.

Try out the Comex guide for English Comp.
The first stop for CLEP, GED, SAT, GRE & GMAT material.
Also,
Cracking the CLEP from Princeton Review is good as well.

This is an exam that you really need to be familiar with sentence structure and grammer. I recommend getting an english text and brushing up on those sections. Also, there is a part of the exam about referencing MLA and APA style. That really was a complete surprize to me. One piece of advice, if your text turns upside down like mine did, stop the test and make them notify clep so that you can take the exam again sooner than six months. I went ahead and took mine upside down and failed by one point. No excuses, my choice. I've now got my english through straighterline and local cc (they let me test out of english 102 -- quite to my surprise and I passed), so I am through with freshman english requirement. Best of luck on your test.
