Education Masters degrees
#1
Hi all, I have a question for a friend. There are quite a few competency based masters degrees, is it possible to enroll for a term a year. For example sign up for Walden's early childhood masters for 1 x 3 month term only and do that once a year to build up a masters degree?

Thanks

Your best bet is to email their advising team. I don't see why not, it's just putting a temp hold on the studies and I assume the term should be paid off.
There are things in life that get in the way, they shouldn't be stopping you or your friend from continuing on with another term later down the road.

I haven't ever seen anything with a competency-based degree that says you have to continue until you finish your degree. The whole point is that you pay for a term and finish as many courses as possible. If you don't want to continue on, you shouldn't have to (and probably don't have to).

Thanks all, I kind of thought that would be the case but wasn't sure. Will pass that information on.
