Hey There,
Many thanks for letting me know. I honestly couldn't tell because I was going to wait until I finished all my courses to transfer them. I do appreciate knowing that though. Many thanks. Also, I get the no money thing. I really do, and I may yet take some FEMAs. I guess at this point it just seems like I progress farther faster with Straighterline, though if the FEMA courses are shorter and can be gone through quickly that might not matter so much.

Hi There,
I was just checking the TESC list again, and it appears that IS-244.b - Developing and Managing Volunteers isn't on the list of courses they accept. However, I really wanted to take four of these so I would only need to take two other Straighterline courses, so in addition I ended up taking IS-8a since here in Seattle we at least know something about earthquakes ;-). The exam was about to time out, so I did ask for more time and was able to review and complete and submit my exam. However, I had no idea that unlike every other test I've taken so far, I apparently have to wait for an email to find out whether I passed or not. I wish I would have known that before. That was really frustrating, though I just got the email (in my spam filter, of course) and found out that I passed it! Yippee, hooray! I will take the other three FEMA courses now and hope I get good results. Many thanks again for all your help.

Hey Everyone (especially Jennifer),
I bit the bullet and finished out my electives with all FEMA courses. I was really undecided up to the last minute. I decided to do them in one 4-credit batch, and two 3-credit batches. That way if I didn't pass one I might have reconsidered another Straighterline course. As it is, I ended up passing three Straighterline courses for my 19 credits of electives, with the rest being FEMAs. Just thought I'd let you know. Of course, this isn't official until TESC gets all my remaining transcripts and agrees, but from where I stand it's all over but the Capstone! Yippee, hooray! Thanks bunches once again everyone. This was all loads easier with your help!

It will tell you immediately if you fail the test, if you get the note stating the results will be emailed to you, that means you passed the test.

Hi There,
I just got my FEMA transcript. I took what I thought were 10 1-credit courses for the 10 remaining elective credits. However, when I add up all the credits on the transcript I come up with 9.9. Please tell me this will round up to 10 credits. I triple-checked that all of the courses I passed were approved by TESC. I just want to be sure I get 10 credits out of this. I will PM some folks as well while I still can (my membership expires tomorrow). Thanks bunches for all your help.

Really? If that's the case I'm very glad. I no longer need the exam-specific info, so hopefully all will be well. Any clue on the 9.9=10 credits? Many thanks. Just FYI, I think I see what's going on. When I took each course I was very careful to be sure that they were each worth 1 credit. I have double-checked and they are, however, on the FEMA transcript it notes CEUs--not credits. I will call FEMA on Monday and see if there is a way for them to send another transcript with credits vs. CEUs. I do have 10 credits, but only 9.9 CEUs apparently. Sheesh!
