Hurray!!! I just passed Here Is To Your Health! This is my first DSST exam and am so happy I passed it using only IC. These flashcards are all you need. I made 425, but the pass score is 400. My school said that there is no letter grade, its just pass or fail....Thanks to God for his favor that ensured my success.
In the past four weeks i have taken 6 Dantes exams. i find the dantes exams MUCH easier than the CLEP. The only study materials I used was IC.
World Religion: went over the entire flash cards set the night before and this was MORE than enough i acheived a 477. (23 minutes) Technical Writing: difficult wording and a surprise essay at the end but i dont think this counts to your score since obviously i dont see how it can be graded when you get an instant score. I took this exam cold. (1hr) Substance abuse: didnt have much time to study. I went over some of the flash cards, my schore was only a 439 but most of the exam is pretty common sense or common knowlege, the rest you can make educated guesses and youll be fine. ( 30 minutes) I took the above three in the same sitting. FOr anyone who lives in NJ. Brookdale Community College in lincroft requires no appointment and have their schedule for testing hours on their website. broodalecc.edu Intro to law enforcement: went over the first 10 ammendments as advised in the exam feedback. THis was more than enough as the exam is pretty much common sense. If you watch law and order you can take this cold as i did. (33 minutes) Intro to computing: Look over the flash cards and you will do great. I looked over at least half of the IC and it helped alot. I didnt study much and i think my score shows it (429) but i passed and that was good enough for me lol. The test is still pretty easy but i wouldnt advise anyone to really take it cold unles you have a background in computers. Race to save the planet: Look over the flash cards and this will be more than enough. Any TESC student that has has taken Global Enviromental Change this is a must!!!

I have taken Here's To Your Health, Race to Save the Planet and Fundamentals of Counseling all using nothing more than IC and Peterson's practice tests.
Here's to your health: 414 Environment & Humanities/Race to Save the Planet: 56 (I know not 60 but still only IC!!) Fundamentals of Counseling: 62 I have said in another thread that the format of the flashcards just didn't sit well with me (I will accept that I am a special case) but I have to acknowledge and thank ALL who took the time to share their feedback and study guides on this site. I would NOT have been as successful without them.

I passed my marketing CLEP yesterday with a 56. I studied for 2 wks and mainly studied IC. It is a lot of help when you are need of college credit. Thanx IC.
99% IC for a few day; 468 score today!
Oops... I got too excited :o So what does that translate into when scaled down to the previous scoring system?
Through the valley....

marclar2u Wrote:99% IC for a few day; 468 score today! My thinking on this is 400=50, so 500=80, therefore 100=30, so every point in the old system is equivalent to 3.3 in the new system. So, you roughly got a 70 or 71. Of course, this is just quick and dirty, since the new system is based on specific question difficulty and the old one was based on groups of individuals' performance (like a curve). So, there's really no actual way to equate the two. Doesn't stop me from thinking about it though!

Just look in the top menu for course list click that, then click on the test you want, check the boxes for what you want to study and the options then click start.

I passed with a 426. Studied for a week, used IC flashcards and also did a search in disscussion threads for helpful hints. That was great. I am thankful to IC. Now on to studying for Substance Abuse. Then Ethics in America. That is the one that is most scarey for me.
