Passed DSST Intro to Computing with only about 2 hours of IC flashcards + taking the 3 free Peterson practice tests (highly recommended). Finished in 20 minutes and got a 455.
I knew a lot going in, as I am a self-admitted semi-nerd and work in a field related to computers. That said, there were some things I had to learn: programming terms, networking terms, some basic history. Once you have that down, it's a cinch. I'm pretty sure I would've still passed going in cold.
If you aren't familiar with computers, I do recommend studying heavily.

I see everyone saying using IC helps pass but I don't see that. I am taking three tests for DSST in January and don't feel like I'm prepared. I still don't seem to remember most of the material even after a week. Wish me luck on passing.

Did you try the Peterson sample tests? I find that really helps.

I plan to take my first exam the first week in January....DSST Personnal Finance. Has anyone taken this exam? If so, can you give me some insight on what to expect? Does IC really prepare you for the exam? Is the exam multiple choice?

Yes, I took it last week. I passed with a 451. I went through the IC cards one time, the night before, read through the specific feedback and took the exam. That was all I needed. Between common sense and IC I did fine on it, it was one of the easier exams I have taken. Business Ethics and Org Behavior were harder than this. It only took about 30 minutes to complete it. If you read through IC, you understand what is written on each card and each card makes sense, then you will do fine. Let us know how it goes! Good Luck!

Principles of Microeconomics 67- Used instacert and referenced some material in a college textbook
Principles of Management 67- Used instacert and wikipedia with about 2 weeks of studying
information systems and computer applications 69- Went through the instacert flashcards once the week before. My previous high school programming helped with this CLEP with the programming questions that instacert did not cover.
