ENEB Master Thread
I Emailed ENEB specifically asking if there is any difference in the transcript or diploma if you use the test-out option versus the normal option. Their reply:

"The certificates and their value will remain unchanged. This method has been thoroughly evaluated and studied in collaboration with the University of Isabel I. Through our partnership, they have provided valuable assistance and worked closely with us to assess and develop the test. We can assure you that the certificates will hold the same value as our diplomas obtained through the completion of final projects.

The exam will be available from December 1st to April 30th, giving you the flexibility to complete it at your convenience. In the meantime, you can take advantage of this time to study all the content, practice with the quizzes, and prepare for the exam."

I agree, sounds like they have just added a third school aside from Isabel and ENEB that can be written on the certificate. I assume your degree is worth the same as before, especially outside of Spain where no one will know the names and reputations of any of these guys.

ENEB already has a few evaluators that have been favorable, I would skip everything else, these add-on's don't really do much...

A validation degree from any obscure school is only worth it if it results in an official degree instead of a "propio" degree. If not, I would just be happy with Validential's regionally accredited Master's equivalent evaluation and/or IEE's regionally accredited graduate certificate evaluation.

IEAD is certified by UDIMA (Distance University of Madrid) which means that this will be another propio. If UDIMA is listed on the IEAD diploma and if UDIMA or IDEA issues their own transcript, it may be possible to have an evaluator review it through UDIMA as an official degree but I doubt that will be the case as it would be an identical evaluation to Universidad Isabel I.

Pretty sure it's basically another school / or setup that the owners of ENEB acquired. They have the same type of campus setup, same courses, etc. It's had some success in the Spanish community wheras ENEB has success in the English community.

the people behind ENEB operates about 6 or 7 (I lost count) schools with different names.

ENEB's value is Isabel I and the favorable Validential rating.

It would really depend on if UDIMA actually transcripts IEAD, rather than just giving a certified diploma. Then I'd probably pay the $129 for just one of my degrees to see if the evaluation is any better with the UDIMA transcript. I doubt they will though

Well they got my money again. I switched to the exam format for my 3 degrees, which they call the "Global Exam" and price at $314 USD. I'll update you guys on how the exam went, they don't let you take it right away.

I tried to search about titulo propio in Swedish for Sweden out of curiosity. Nothing came up in Google or the main Swedish forum. However I found the following related information which sounds exactly like the restrictions of a titulo propio just not under that name. Here is a translation:

"A magisterexamen is 60 credits (1 year), a Masterexamen is 120 credits (2 years)." ("examen" means "degree" in Swedish).

ESEI Business School in Spain offers a 1 year degree, which the Spanish school calls a Master and titulo propio, which Sweden is calling a "magisterexamen". The price is roughly the same as what ENEB lists on their homepage. I find several similar results, all called "magisterexamen" by Sweden.

Info from an official site: "A degree from any country is obviously valid all over the world. However in Sweden there are special careers including doctor, dentist, psychologist and nurse. You must ask the Health & Welfare Bureau to see if your foreign degree in these special categories is valid as equal to a degree of the same obtained in Sweden. If the degree is deemed NOT valid, you would need to do complementary education in Sweden regarding only the courses which are deemed to be missing, such as Swedish language courses, and then you would need to ask for a new decision from the government. (Their example is a foreign high school diploma, which requires Swedish classes to count as high school graduation in Sweden.)

If you are not working in one of those special restricted fields, you can practice your career without asking the government about equivalency. In that case it is entirely up to your employer on if they see your degree is equivalent or not. If they are having trouble deciding, or if you want to work in a restricted career and need to know if your degree is equivalent, one of you can ask "Universitet och Högskolerådet" and get free advice about the matter.

The following careers are regulated and need equivalency to Swedish degrees: lawyer, attorney, patent attorney, pharmacist, pharmaceutical prescriptionist, work therapist, psychologist, psychotherapist, audionom, AUTHORIZED interpreter or translator (for things like hospital appointment or legal translations), midwife, biomedicinal analysist, fire prevention control, dietist, veterinarian, animal nurse, electrical installer, real estate agent, blacksmith, chiropractor, logoped, doctor, teacher in the PUBLIC school system, naprapat, optician, orthopedic engineer, psychologist, psychotherapist, nurse, x-ray nurse, physical rehabilitationist, dentist assistant, dentist, guardman (against fire, theft, etc). There may be additional restricted careers, under special directive."

So, that is to say, a titulo propio does not even necessarily stop you from practicing in certain fields, at least not in Sweden, as long as you can get that complementary education, which they suggest can come from Adult Education (Swedish equivalent of school to get a GED) or a Swedish university.

Update: The total price for the "Global Master's" exam format was $342.57. This did not show on-screen as I paid for it, I was only shown the before-tax amount, and this after-tax amount appeared in the Email confirmation.

Update 2 - Forgot, "driving instructor" and ""hospital physician" are restricted jobs in Sweden, and I mistranslated, "blacksmith" is not restricted but "farrier" is.

I don't agree, because worth is a variable in this context and it has levels to it. For some, an RA graduate certificate equivalence is worth it. For others, an RA Bachelor's equivalence is worth it. For others still, a U.S. non-accredited Master's equivalence is worth it. Sure, an RA Master's equivalent is the most ideal, but it's not the only outcome that makes it worth it. And savvy student have squeezed value out of all of those outcomes.
