[QUOTE=NAP]I'm so glad you think it went well. Having practiced the topic already must have helped a lot. And you did not faint! That was a success, too.
I have considered taking this exam, but I do not know how the scoring works, since it is not just questions and there is an extra speech section. I have also read that the speech can be submitted for re-evaluation, so this first round of scoring is not necessarily the final word.
Is the speech part audio or video taped? How long did they say it takes to receive a score?
Waiting for a score can be very hard. (I've been waiting 2 weeks for my latest DSST exam score.) If you have another test to study for, that helps to keep your mind off of the waiting and wondering.[/QUOTE
The proctor said it can take anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. The speech was recorded on a tape recorder. Petersons website is what saved me. Had Marean not mentioned that website in her post, there is no way I would have done as good as I think I did. I was studying the Art of Public Speaking which was okay, but not as informative as Petersons. She was right on the money in her post.
I have lots to keep my mind off the waiting and wondering. I work full time, I'm in the Navy Reserve (which by the way it's my drill weekend coming up), I'm taking three online courses, I'm studying for the Navy advancement exam, and I'm also working on obtaining 18 CE credits so I can start practicing real estate again. My license is inactive until I complete the 18 CE credits. And to top it off, I now have to study for the DSST Lifespan Development test, and I'm working with a tutor to help me pass the CLEP Math test. I have assignments in all three courses I'm taking, not to mention quizzes, tests, and discussion boards. I hope and pray I do not have a nervous breakdown before I can finally graduate.
