EC Eng Comp this Wednesday..

I have changed my exam date atleast twice already..i feel i cd have done better prep but am getting so bored with it so Come Wednesday i plunge in and MOVE ON to finalise DSST Stat..

What if i fail? Well, i'll cross this river when i reach it!!! Wish me luck..

Have a great test today! If you are bored with it, either you don't like the topic at all, OR you know the information in your sleep and there's just no challenge anymore. I know how you feel though. I'm there with A & I Lit, I would rather take it tomorrow than wait until Monday, but wait, I must.

P.S. I just realized this is EC Comp that you are taking. You probably know this, but did you know they will be offering another test this coming fall (may be way too late for you to wait on) that will cost less?

Thanks. I took the exam,won,t have the results in weeks, but i have mixed feelings about it. I failed to complete one of the essays-the one with pre-writing and a formal essay. i don't feel very strongly about my argumentation essay either. i enjoyed the one i had to critic a text better,but s'what pessimistic..Well, i can be hard on myself..But i will try to forget it for now and work on my DSST Statistics.

So Margo,where can i get info about the new Eng Comp? You know,just in case this does not turn out well..

Generally, i feel relieved i took the plunge today! 3 hrs was hell, i came out feeling blinded for a while!

I spoke with a customer rep a few days ago and she told me that this test will be coming out in the fall and cost less. You could probably email (or phone) them for more info. I'm not sure if they have an exact date yet. She said it would be comparable to a CLEP in cost, but didn't say how hard it would be!

A lot of people here come out of these tests feeling like they have failed only to see that they did fine. It's the waiting that is hard! Any other tests in line until then?

How long does it take to get EC results? I have not attempted one of those yet. Hopefully, I won't have to if I pass all my DSSTs

For EC Exams, there is an instant printout of yr results except where yr exam is in essay format and will have to be marked physically. My English comp printout said i'd have my result mailed to me in 45 days' time.

Hey, have been off air for a bit..My Eng Comp Test result arrived 20 days after- and it wasn't good..A warping C; i have no intention getting this on my grades, so am planing to replace it with an online course. will be much more expensive and time consuming, but i can't stand this C- no offence to believers of "a pass is a pass," just that am aiming for a phd and will try to be as impressive as possible esp with my writing ability.
