Does Technical Writing satisfies TESC ENC-102 English Composition II? I have an English Comp & Rhetoric I from a Cc, they didn't allow it as English Comp I.

No, the tech writing exam is not a substitute for Eng Comp II. You could take the CLEP exam, the straigherline course, or the TECEP which has a reputation for being easily doable (YMMV). As long as your course was ENG101 and not some creative writing alternate, I would appeal TESCs decision of not accepting the Comp I course, there could have been an honest mistake made. Of course every school has the right to accept, or not, any transfer credit. Here is the link to the guidelines for the appeal process - Appeal Procedure It's an easy process, copy the course description from your school catalog and provide a link to the online catalog with page number. Also, if you still have it or can get one, attach a copy of the course syllabus to the email. Good luck! "Setting a goal is not the main thing. What school and kind of CC English I did TESC not accept? I have had trouble with them sometimes for West Coast CCs. If you win your appeal, I highly recommend Penn Fosters Adv. Comp for your English II. Drop me PM and I'll provide the details on how to sign up. You won't find this course on their website.

Either your CC isn't regionally accredited or they made a mistake. Don't take another class/exam until you figure this out. English Comp & Rhetoric 1 is absolutely ENG101. |
