crowbird Wrote:Thanks, you mentioned earlier something about dual or double degree from tesu can you elaborate on that?

Also is it reasonable if i want to clear those UMPI AALS credits by taking additional courses(i am really interested in those creative writing courses) so it would either be my main BBA 30 credits plus additional 30 credits for the AALS in creative writing concentration or just +15 credits and ill get the general concentration (but ill still be able to get those 15 credits in creative writing courses) they also mention that creative writing courses can be taken twice for credit. All this assume a 2 or 3 terms time frame

In regards to TESU, what's missing that you need more clarification? My links explained it multiple times... I've never seen anyone do the AALS by taking any classes at all, my recommendation was always to get the AALS on route to the Bachelors without any extra classes.
Nvm i read through the tesu links(it was last hour of my fast i was high of out of my mind), everything is there can't thank you enough and i hope you don't mind that i am asking to many questions but to out my situation into perspective my goal to get these degree is to gain knowledge and and a degree/s the only reason i am doing it as fast as possible is not to be done with it rather its the cheapest option to go the fastest way possible, and i consider these study material to be of good quality relatively compared to what i can currently get locally here in Africa,
And like i said before end goal is to break into international remote job Market and maybe potentially immigration in the distant future so a reminder that my budget is 4 to 5k maxx, so given all what i said

Should i shoot for the MAOL in two terms.(and can i get the freebie AALS with it, also my current undergrade equivalent degree in cs has low gpa will they accept it?)

Or should i shoot for 2 bachelor's degrees first would be BBA , second i am not sure what would you guys recommend (the BLS? Would love to take some art courses in a bls or creative writing thats really interesting to me, or get Another business degree? , Keep in mind i want stuff to complement my CS degree or complement each other)
Or getting two bachelor's is a bit of an overkill?

Both scenarios would be around same price

Again ik it redundant but I can't thank you enough for everything you guys helped me with so far

You need a bachelor's degree before you can start the MAOL program at UMPI. No, you cannot complete an associate degree with a master's degree.

You don't need 2 bachelor's degrees. You cannot complete the BLS after completing any of the BA's at UMPI.

So my CS degree won't serve as a bachelor's for the master program, i should get a bachelor's from umpi first then (on paper my CS degree is equivalent to a bachelor's, but would they accept it )

Also is there any luck with scholarships for international students?

If you already have a bachelor's degree why are you looking for an associate degree and another bachelor's degree? Was your bachelor's degree completed outside of the US and you now want a US bachelor's degree? You say on paper your CS degree is equivalent to a bachelor's are you referring to an evaluation that was completed? Most of the types of programs we talk about on here don't have scholarships for anyone.

Well my degree is a 3 year undergrad program in math and computer science, i wanted to get a second degree to learn more and add up to my resume, but i have friends from here who finished their studies in canada and from their experience it was a hassle getting our local degrees to transfer to therr i am assuming it would be the same case for US, but if its possible i would much rather get a masters in business then bachelor, but if bachelor's is my only option then its fine its still gonna compliment my degree and is from US college, fullfils my current needs and maybe make it easier to master in future

Canada can be a lot pickier about foreign degrees than the U.S. is. Getting an evaluation for a foreign degree from a US evaluator can be a challenge at times, but there are several different evaluators you can use. If one doesn't play nice, you can take your business to another evaluator.

In Canada, there are only three or four of any real relevance. If they make things difficult, too bad. You have to do what they say.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Basically, I would keep to the original plan and not think about jumping all over the place.  Canada is going to be a little harder, they only have 6 Foreign Credential Evaluators in total.  You're going to have an equally hard time, if not harder, going the Canada route.  Here's an estimate of what I think your 3 Year degree will come in as, an Associates (in US/UK/Canada) - RA equivalent depending on where you have completed this degree.  Canadian schools only allow a maximum of 50% transfer credit, no alternative credit options at all...

My recommendation: You really need to have everything evaluated before you decide on TESU or UMPI, without knowing, you're stuck at the start with no pathway to finish...  When you've got your evaluation, you'll know what is remaining, you can take the Sophia.org and Study.com combo to get to your finish line by following degree plans on our WIKI.  Institutions in the US/UK allow up to a max of 75 plus credits and also have 'top-up' options, it's better to go for #1 US or #2 UK instead of #3 Canada, #4 Australia, #5 New Zealand.

Here's an example, this lady completed her UMPI BLS with Latin honors, she has a 4 year BA from her native country, but after immigrating here in the US, it was only evaluated as an Associates.  She had to complete Sophia.org and Study.com combo of classes until she got to 90 transferable credits, then finished the remaining 30 at UMPI, if you want to finish, you need to follow through exactly as I would recommend it: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...with-honor

All right i am set on doing UMPI BBA seems the most fitting choice just one last question if for in future i decide to do an MBA (on campus in US in a national public university) will my UMPI BBA be taken as seriously as any other bachelor's when i apply? Will i be able to transfer some credit from my bba to mba?

Practically, no university will give you graduate credit for undergrad classes, except the ones that offer a Bachelors to Masters option. For those, they allow you to take Masters courses towards the Bachelors degree. There are a few exceptions to this, but they don't regularly advertise and I don't have a specific list that I've kept over the years. Any TESU or UMPI Business degree will be a requirement for entry to the Masters/MBA programs, there may be specific class requirements for entry as well...

Ok outside umpi and whatnot, do public national universities (the likes of ASU, Purdue, buffalo..etc) accept at least some third party credits ?? And if so i am assuming study.com is the best option since it has those high level classes right?
