@Bikingrox211, No worries, the steps are still about or almost the same thing as mentioned previously, there may be slight changes... You should take some time to read the info within the following threads, as I've mentioned in each and everyone of them, the trifecta and how to go about it, it's the same for all of these for the last two days or so. You want to compare that to the advice already provided in this thread and see which one you want to go with, take your time to review posts, threads, WIKI for degree plans...

If you don't have these classes already, yes. You really need to click the WIKI link for Pierpont BOG AAS and complete, document what needs to be done in a spreadsheet, you can have the UMPI BAS side by side with the Pierpont BOG AAS - https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pierpont_C%26TC

I keep reading the wikis and comments but I think I am getting conflicting info from reading too much into it.The wiki you just sent, is actually the reason for my post because I believe I just need 5 more elective credits and can submit for the AAS for the May deadline. (Obviously while continuing doing UMPI equivalencies).

Hello All,
I applied to graduate Pierpont BOG AAS for the upcoming May 10 2024 deadline. This is my unofficial transcript as of now https://pasteboard.co/ZKJDjhnjItqz.jpg There are a few credits that are in the process of being transferred (listed at the bottom of this message). My goal is a BOG AAS emphasis of Information Systems. If anyone has gone through the graduation, who do I talk to about adding the emphasis? Do I need more courses to graduate? Any guidance or recommendations are appreciated.
Credits being transferred:
- Anatomy & Physiology SCIE1050
- Art History II ARTHIST1002
- Business Law BUSLAW1001-2020
- Financial Accounting BUSI 1010
- Introduction to Business BUS1001
- Introduction to Ethics PHIL 1002
- Introduction to Nutrition HLTH1010
- Project Management PM1001
- U.S. History I HIST1001

Great work! Review the Pierpont BOG WIKI just to make sure you've got the general education requirements done (15 credits), the rest will come into the degree as electives. You also need to make sure you have enough credits for "Info Systems", that has to be 15 credits as well. To change the emphasis, you email Lisa and Nancy, their contact info is already on a sticky thread in the Pierpont sub forum here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Forum-P...es-Degrees

For a Pierpont degree, you need 3 credits in Communications (completed with Visual Communications), 6 credits in Math/Science (Completed with Algebra & Stats), 3 credits in Social Sciences (completed with Psych or History), and 3 credits in Computer Literacy (completed with Introduction to IT). Plus any 45 additional credits for a total of 60. You have more than met these basic requirements.
If you want Info Systems as an AoE, I don't see nearly enough credits for that. You need 15 credits for an emphasis, and I only see Intro to IT and Intro to Web Development as applicable. The fastest/easiest way to complete an Info Systems AoE for most people would be to get the Google IT Support Professional certificate from Coursera: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera Some students with prior experience have been able to complete all requirements in less than a week. Others have been able to do it in less than a month of serious effort.
If you want a BAS from UMPI, you're probably going to need several more Coursera certificates as well. See this thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...one-it-yet
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Hey, got your pm... If you have the time, you should review this thread, post #17. It shows you a sample degree template this member has created. A minor, 4 classes that goes towards the MAOL. You should focus on one minor first and the 4 classes that can go into the MAOL, then if you want to spend an extra session on a second or third minor, you can do that afterwards... Since my previous post, I completed the following:
Coursera:
- Google UX Design
- Google IT Support
- Google Data Analytics
- IBM Data Analysis and Visualization Foundations.
Sophia:
- Anatomy & Physiology | Lab SCIE1051
- Spanish I SPAN1001
- Workplace Communication COMM1010
I have about 3 months of idle time now before I am going to be applying to UMPI while I wait for my Pierpont BOG. I am going to read into what BJ said above. If you have any other recommendations, I would love to hear them.

Thank you BJ, I will review the degree plan you mentioned and zero in on the 4 classes that go towards the MAOL.
