Hey guys, it's been a while, the credit evaluation took forever. Its now been sent to excelsior to see what credits they will accept. I've attached below the result. Rachel thank you so much for telling be about the evaluation I now have 71.5 credits for and a few of then are even upper level. I've started doing sophia and saylor for the general education stuff like English composition I and II and a few humanities credits. I have also thought about taking the BS natural science from excelsior simply because they don't have a residency fee to my know unlike tesu. Now I just have to wait and see if they accept the credits and how they allocate them.

Awesome! That can be a difficult degree to get from Excelsior due to the lack of UL credits that are both cheap and relevant. But it looks like you could have somewhere between ~20 and 27 relevant credits there. You will need at least 3 additional UL credits of some kind, but definitely wait to see what EC says before making any decisions there.

If you're going to do Excelsior, I would suggest either ONU or Study.com over Sophia for English Comp. Sophia is... not recommended for English Comp. If you change your mind about the choice of schools, TESU also accepts the same SDC courses that EC does for English Comp.

It can't hurt to now apply to TESU and EC (and SNHU) to see what they'll bring everything in as. Not sure how Electrical Engineering I, Signals & Systems, and Signals & Image Processing will come in - I'm guessing not as Natural Sciences at any school, so it's important that they tell you how this will all work.

Once you hear back from everyone, THEN you can come back and let us know. We can tell you if it will be easy/inexpensive to complete the degree (obviously the GE and Free Electives will be cheap/easy, it's the AoS that may give you some trouble).

I don't think most of the upper-level credits will be accepted as liberal arts or natural sciences, but the BS in Biomedical Electronics at TESU might be interesting: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/en/Curre...lectronics

3 credits in Physiology, Anatomy, and Biomechanics
12 credits in Biomedical Electronics
12 credits in General Electronics
APS-401: Current Trends and Applications in Applied Science and Technology

Im curious is it possible to do the capstone and cornerstone without having all 113 credits. Basically I have an opportunity to do a paid masters (sponsored by work) starting sep 2022 but I need to have a complete undergraduate degree before 20th of August. I know there's a semester starting early March at excelsior. Is it possible to transfer in about 90 credits, do the capstone and cornerstone by May and then do the left over credit in June and July. Also is there a deadline for when all the work should be completed by in order to be eligible for the summer graduation.

You can do the cornerstone at any time. You must have at least 100 credits AND most of your UL credits transferred in before you are allowed to take the capstone at TESU.

Noone else has mentioned it so I will: what A Levels did you take? A levels are accepted for college credit in the US because they are equivalent to the first year or so (why their degrees are four years and ours aren't). If you took A Level Maths and Further Maths, for example, you would at least get a couple math credits based on that. The content of A Level Maths is roughly equivalent to Calc 1, 2 possibly 3 and Stats or Discrete Math depending on what options you took. So even if you weren't awarded credit for all, testing out via Study.com, Straighterline etc would likely be a walk in the park if you remembered everything.

I did A Level Maths with Stat 1 and Decision 1, for example, and that easily covered a US Intro Stats course, the Discrete Math on Study.com (unfortunately not currently accepted by TESU), Calc 1 and Calc 2. I am redoing Calc 3 before taking Linear Algebra because I kind of tapped out by the end of A Levels - History was so much work and by core 4 of Maths I was over it.

I need to fix the wiki. It should be accepted by TESU now. There was a misunderstanding that needed to be cleared up between TESU and SDC.
