Micro was tougher to fly through, because the tests included so many charts to interpret. Macro also had some, but Micro had more. For me, it was the hardest Sophia class so far. I did finish before midnight, though, so both of those (Macro and Micro) are in the books.
Sophia classes I have completed:
Business Communications - this fills a BLS/Management minor requirement, NOT a BABA requirement
Introduction to Ethics - this fills a GEP requirement
US History 1 - this fills a GEP requirement
Macro - Macro and Micro together cover a BABA requirement (may also be an additional elective since it is two classes - though I do not need the elective, just ECO 207)
Micro - "" "" ""
Sophia classes still on my list all meet BABA requirements:
Introduction to Business
Financial Accounting
Conflict Resolution
Business Ethics (has touchstone)
Business Law (has touchstone)
I plan to save those last two for the end. They may not be marked complete by July 1, but at least the work should be done awaiting grading.
If I complete all of these within the next week, the counts are for BLS, I would need 1 GEP, 5 Management minor, 4 electives. For BABA, I would need 1 GEP, 14 major/concentration.
Any I do not finish would be added to the BABA classes needed, eg if I complete all but one on Sophia, I need 16 instead of 15 at UMPI. But from this point, Sophia would have no effect on the BLS.
In my mind, this is a risk/reward calculation I am trying to make with still some incomplete information:
1. Would the 10 BLS classes, including 4 electives, be much easier and faster than the 15 BABA classes, or is it close enough to barely matter?
2. Is BABA really worth more than BLS in my career field, or is that all in my head?
Sophia's chat isn't monitored over the weekend, so because I still have two classes with one touchstone each that hasn't been graded yet, I may have to wait until Monday to do any more. Unless Sophia surprises me by somebody grading touchstones over the weekend, I guess I'll focus on PMP study until Monday.
Has anybody taken a good number of Sophia classes and a good number of UMPI classes, and feel able to comment on the relative difficulty and how the speed of the two compare? I am wary of false optimism about how the UMPI classes will go, based on how the Sophia classes are going. Thanks!

Sophia is pretty dang easy and I would say UMPI is harder but still much easier than the average college experience

Edit Reason: updated Sophia results
)
Thanks. I was pleasantly surprised to see my US History 1 touchstone got graded today, so I was able to complete Financial Accounting today and Introduction to Business tonight. I will do Conflict Management next, and then I have two with touchstones (Business Ethics, and Business Law), so hopefully in the near future, the other class with a touchstone waiting to be graded will be complete so I'm not delayed by that.
If I can complete the three remaining classes by Monday night or Tuesday, I'm thinking about doing some on Study.com. Everything about Study.com (mainly, pricing, and exam proctoring) sounds worse to me than Sophia. But, I'll be out of Sophia BABA credits, and Study.com has several. Doing one or two there might set up my UMPI session better. Or it might not end up mattering, it's hard to predict.

I completed Conflict Resolution last night.
Very easy, but a bit tedious. It had more challenges and milestones than most, and all challenge questions had a multi-paragraph story that you were supposed to read before answering the questions.
I realized later that about half of the questions could be answered without reading the story. Sometimes it might say "what form of de-escalation did Bill take" (meaning you have to read the story) and sometimes it might say "which of these is a valid form of de-escalation" (meaning you did not need to read the story). That realization sped things up a bit. It was still the most time-consuming of the Sophia classes since I started doing this on Thursday afternoon.
Completed on Sophia:
Conflict Resolution
Introduction to Business
Business Communication
Macro Economics
Micro Economics
Financial Accounting
Introduction to Ethics
US History 1
The remaining two I plan to take:
Business Ethics
Business Law 1
If I get credit for all of this, I would still need 14 BABA/Leadership classes, and 1 GEP.
I am also looking into portfolio review for two in which I think I have a good chance of getting credit for work experience (BUS 240 Change Management and BUS 260 Leadership), and if there is time, I might try to do one or two via Study.com later in the week.
If I did all of that, the best-case scenario would be that I still need 10 or 11 BABA courses, and the GEP. However, portfolio review and Study.com are both questionable in my mind whether I can do them in the time I have before classes start a week from today.

What is the GEP that you're in need of? And can't you complete it with Sophia?

Great job with the classes... You're getting there... BTW, Did you pay for Summer Session 2 yet? By credit card or which method?

I haven't paid for the term yet. But I can whenever. I assume by credit card, but whatever method they want is OK. Jessica was focused on the financial disclosure, then enrolled me (or whatever the right term is) for ENG 211 and MAT 140 on my request. I'll look today for how to pay.
For GEP, I specifically need either ENG 211 (creative writing) or ART 108 (I think it's graphic design). I am doing ENG 211 to satisfy it. Sophia doesn't have anything that satisfies either. However, I did fulfill my other two GEPs via Sophia: Intro to Ethics, and US History 1.
Thanks!

BLS and BABA classes are mostly the same. There is no advantage to taking one over the other, except perhaps for an English major on YourPace or some other majors.
The time required to complete a UMPI course can vary widely depending on how quickly someone progresses. Typically, it takes 20-40 hours per course, though some may take as long as 80 hours. In contrast, an on-campus course at a traditional university can average 100 hours, making UMPI significantly faster.
I believe a full Business Administration degree is worth it. You don’t want to feel at a disadvantage compared to others with business majors when sending out 100+ resumes.

Seems like you're referring to the GEC and Sophia absolutely has a course that fulfills this area. Take Visual Communications from Sophia and it will fulfill the studio art requirement at UMPI. Then you won't need ENG211. You can complete Visual Communication on Sophia in a few hours.

I agree, take visual communications at Sophia as that will be much faster than doing it at UMPI.
