That is what my school requires. is that impossible?

vickyvicky Wrote:That is what my school requires. is that impossible? Some DSSTs are graded on a non-linear scale similar to CLEPs (20 to 80 with 50 being the generally-accepted pass mark) and some DSSTS are graded on a non-linear scale to 500 with 400 being the pass mark. The getcollegecredit DSST website carries exam factsheets; not sure if the ACE pages have been updated with the new scores. vickyvicky Wrote:My school requires a passing score of 50 on DSST exams, what is that equivalent to the 400 scale? I think you are already aware of this and I'm not sure what else to tell you, other than to be aware that whoever you spoke or communicated with at your school might not be fully up to speed with various forms of testing Don't be afraid to apply common sense and politely explain things in order to get what you want. Good luck!

Recommend you visit DSST - GetCollegeCredit.com and download (and read ) the 'technical data sheet' available on the right hand pane. This is worth doing so you know exactly where you are and what you need to communicate to your school in order to minimise confusion.

This means member colleges all get their say. It also means that just because ACE recommends that a particular course or qualification should be evaluated for x amount of credit in y subject area, each individual college has the authority to set its own policy and award whatever they see fit.
