BGSU_Alum_86 Wrote:^^Remember, you can log into your DSST account and you will be able to see very easily which tests you have taken, the date, and the score. Makes it very easy to keep track of your "record.

mmm, I've taken a few tests, but have never signed up for an account there

I signed up just now and it asked the code for my test center
I searched the DSST site and my test center no longer exists

bummer

I put it a code on the nearest one and completed my registration

I then asked to see my previous scores and thought it would show them because even if the code for the testing center has changed my social security number hasn't

but no, it just shows up blank

Yeah, it only shows ones you took online through Prometric when you log in. Anything you took as a paper-based test won't be there.

Suggestions in Red '

The software tends to populate courses however it wants. Call Advising and ask them to "PIN" Sociology to the personal & social responsiblity section. And then move History II back to Area of Study.

FYI - How PINNING a course was explained to me is that they tell the program not to accept the course in any other possible sections. By doing this, it will always remain in that one section.

Welcome. It may take an actual advising appointment to do this. If you should call and the personal who picks up the expressline says "huh, what do you mean PIN" quickly say I must have been confused, hang up go online and schedule an advising appt or submit a helpdesk ticket.

I always preferred a phone appointment because as soon as they were done, I could log back in while still on the phone and confirm it was fixed as requested. Not sure if it is still the case, but a few years ago if they were updating your eval you could not access it. You had to wait until they saved and logged out of your file.

Most on the expressline are not as fully aware of the intricacies of the software, or anything else regarding formal degree planning for that matter. Mostly they just field generalized questions. But a Sr Advisor will sometimes take a shift on the expressline.

Good luck and congrats on being so close to the finish line!

Hi, everyone. Does anyone know if TESC or Excelsior will accept and give me credit for the Intro to Modern Middle East and Western Europe Since 1945. I had them completed in early 2014 but never enrolled in one of the big 3.

I'm worried now because on TESC website the Intro to Modern Middle East and Western Europe Since 1945 don't even appear on their DSST recognized exams. And on the ACE website Europe since 1945 doesn't even show up as a course.

Thanks in advance

Yes. The date that you took them determines their acceptance, you're good to go.
