DSST Exams - info, and expiring 1/31/20

I just updated my spreadsheet, and there are 6 exams set to expire today:

Personal Finance
Money & Banking (UL)
Ethics in America
Intro to World Religions
General Anthropology
History of the Soviet Union (UL)

There is no info on their website (getcollegecredit.com), and when I called, the woman there obviously had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about ACE credit expiration).

Not sure if these will be renewed, some of these are popular ones, so maybe there's just a lag.

Also, there are quite a few that were set to expire on 2/29/20, that have been extended to 1/31/21.  Not sure why they would only extend a year.

And, from a previous thread, Substance Abuse was downgraded retroactively to 8/1/19.  Previously, others were downgraded on 8/1/18.  If the 6 exams (above) are not renewed, that leaves ONE UL DSST exam - Cybersecurity, set to expire 1/31/2021.  Not good news.

Hopefully not, I think they're just going through the phase of getting these ACE recommendations and a bit behind due to the Xmas Holidays and New years. I think it'll be updated soon and we'll see a renewal of say 3-4 years or at least an extension of 6-12 months until they get everything organized.

CLEP/DSST have been here for a while, they may get new courses and remove some, but they should be getting their ACE recommendations soon. For those taking CLEP/DSST, just make sure you're taking the exam WHEN it's ACE recommended if not, wait for it to become accredited again while you work on other courses towards your degree.

Regarding UL with DSST.
TESU and ACE both show " DSST Principles of Public Speaking " as Upper level. TESU shows it comes in as Com 309. ACE 8/1/2018 - 7/31/2023

Ok, that's crazy.  I don't think I've ever noticed that.  It was never UL that I'd ever seen, but maybe I just didn't check (usually courses get downgraded, not upgraded!).

Yes, at least until it expires on 7/31/24.  You can look again in 2023 and see if they've gotten it upgraded.  But that's a long time to wait.  Instead, I'd find another way to get something similar.

Does the Substance Abuse downgrade only apply to the DSST? I am enrolled to take it at Coopersmith as a UL.

Where can I find out if these exams are still ACE accredited? The reason I ask is because I'm scheduled to take DSST Intro to World Religions on Thursday, but I happened to come across your post. I'm now wondering if my exam will be invalid if I take it this Thursday. Thank you.

Edit: I think I found my answer. On the ACE Registry and Transcript system, it seems to state that the current expiration is on 10/31/2020.

Yes, at least until it expires on 7/31/24.  You can look again in 2023 and see if they've gotten it upgraded.  But that's a long time to wait.  Instead, I'd find another way to get something similar.
