Credits from work experience.
#1
I am interested to know can I get credits from my work experience? I used to be assistant manager for a long time and I had my own business as well (daycare) business. Are those credits would be upper level or just elective?
Thanks

Work experience credits tend to come in as general electives not as specific courses on the degree plan. Also keep in mind that they are not included in the 30 credits required to be completed at UMPI. Which degree are you looking at?

You can send in a CV and resume, plus ask what other information they require from you to see if they can complete an evaluation of your work experience, business, etc to see if some will be eligible for credit. Provide as much details as possible and answer any questions they have in order to get evaluated properly and promptly.

I have replied to your PM and provided you my email address if you need further help.  If my guess is correct, you may not have all your transferred credits completed from InstantCertCredit, Sophia.org... However, it's alright if you start with UMPI, but you should remember a few things.  I hope you follow these steps here, I assume you have 0 Upper Level credits for transfer, if you complete the MIS minor, you're still missing 24 UL credits, the cheapest, easiest, and fastest way may be to get a second & third minor.

There are four components to the degree:
➤ The student must meet the University’s General Education requirements worth 40 credits.
➤ The student must select a minor from offerings in the current UMPI catalog.
➤ A minimum of 24 credits of the electives for the BLS degree must be in the 300-400 level courses.
➤ A minimum of 30 credits of the BLS coursework must be done at UMPI.

Suggestion: Complete Minors in this order, MIS> Management> Project Management, total 12 courses at UMPI.
Bold courses are the Upper Level you have, in fact, this isn't even 24 credits!  You need to transfer one in from Study.com or another provider.
#I would recommend taking this course before taking the others within the minor.
*You just have to take this course once, it's a duplicate within the other minors.
Pace yourself, If you complete 3 courses at a time - it will take you 4 sessions, if you do 4 at a time - it will take you 3 sessions.

I appreciate for being always helpful.
I talked with Jessica and she mentioned I need to complete my general education requirements and 10 courses at UMPI. That’s all. I think they gave me upper level credits from my current transcripts. I completed my bachelor from Punjab university.
I will double check with them .
Thanks again

A few days ago you said you need to complete 25 classes at UMPI. Now it's 10.

You can't do anything in UMPI's classes until they open on the 9th. You can work on ACE courses outside of UMPI. You really should not start UMPI until you've completed your ACE courses. Doing them together will be difficult for you especially since you're so worried about English. By only focusing on UMPI courses you could finish in 1-2 sessions. With needing to complete 25 courses you're looking at more like 3-5 sessions which costs much more.

You will need to complete UL courses outside of your minor at UMPI. You have the degree evaluation sheet. This is explained in the section with the 24 UL credits.

Yes you are right I think there was miscommunication. Jessica told me I have to complete my general education requirements and then 10 courses with UMPI. After that I will get my degree. But I think there was misunderstanding.
What do you mean by ACE? And where I can do Ace courses? I am working on my general education.
Thanks

My advice to you is to follow what Bjcheung77 has told you to do.  When others have added their thoughts, it seems to confuse you.  Just focus on what he has said and stick to that.
