I just received a reply from Nancy at Perpont. It appears that the $350 fee includes the previous $130 new student fee.

Ding ding, cool confirmation, exactly what I was thinking. $350 for BOG AAS which already contain the $130 new student fee, $130 for all new students - including those not going for the BOG and doing the butt-in-seat or online programs.

If you complete 15 credits of Sophia IT courses, that is an easy way to obtain a STEM associate's degree. Additionally, by adding Google certifications and other optional certifications such as cloud certifications, you can build a solid foundation of IT knowledge.

Even if you don't intend to pursue an IT career, having what would be akin to a minor in IT could be beneficial in almost any career, given the pervasive influence of technology in nearly every field.

In addition to what LevelUP mentioned earlier, by going that route, you're building on the balanced mix/match trifecta of certs, degree, experience, and also maximizing your technical credits towards UMPI BAS (or BLS) with a minor of your choice, as it has up to 60 credits of electives. I would take the 3-4 classes (during undergrad for residency purposes) that go towards the MAOL later...
