ajaxanon Wrote:Hi everyone,
I completed College Algebra earlier this year and got it on my transcript at the University of Texas at Arlington. I just completed Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences and am awaiting action from Ace.
Now, I am wondering if I should attempt to do the Calculus course. I have almost no knowledge of calculus and am wondering if I'll manage the course..? Or should I try the trig course? I have heard it's quite difficult...
thanks for any input!

I sent my ACE transcript to Excelsior for ALEKS Introduction to Statistics and Statistics for Behavioral Sciences and was only creditted for Introduction to Statistics. The advisor said that Statistics for Behavioral Sciences is a duplicate. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I really wanted to get the 6 credits for both classes.

Yup I already posted as such in this thread. I had the same situation at EC.

Do the distinct call numbers for each course mean that ALL courses are awarded credit at TESC with no courses duplicating each other? Please let me know as I would like to finish mapping my degree asap! Someone please confirm that TESC does not consider any of the ALEKS courses to be duplicates...

That is EXACTLY what that means. And you can pull up TESC's college catalog to find the rest of the courses with their numbers. Use them both as your guide for planning classes/credits.

I was told by Excelsior that ALEKS Business Statistics would be accepted as lower level credit. Subsequently, I wrote a letter of appeal and submitted syllabi for all three statistics courses. I was notified yesterday that all three will be accepted as UPPER LEVEL but that their content duplicates and I can only receive credit for one course.
