Coursera IT

Few things...

I just finished Coursera IT Support Professional Certificate.

However, my badge only says Google IT support Certificate. WHY? (see attachment)

Also, I just noticed that this certification expired on 1/31/23 with ACE... PLEASE TELL ME I DIDN'T GET SCREWED!!

FYI: It was not through TADA because it was automatically provided at not cost by NYS DOL for previously unemployment benefit recipients during 2020-2021. Seems like the free course benefit was linked to my sign in email which was the same i used during unemployment.

*facepalm* Unfortunately, you did get the bad end of the stick for now... Having said that, there may be some recourse. Wait for Google to get their ACE recommendation back, afterwards contact Coursera right and ask if any modifications were made to the course between then (most likely they didn't touch it). Ask to be put into the correct ACE evaluated Credly badge and wait for a reply... Hopefully you didn't get the bad end of the stick, it was just wrong timing (even if it's just 1 day), but this workaround should suffice.

Nope, the badge isn't even showing up with the ACE recommendation for credit. You need the correct one, I would get in contact with Coursera/Google and have them resend the badge to Credly, but ultimately, it depends on how Credly views the expiration. Again, if I was in your shoes, wait for that extension or renewal of ACE credit, then immediately contact these providers again to get the correct badge into Credly.

Can you post yours? Just to see what it should look like. Or any one else who has it.

You finished the Google IT Support Certificate course that was hosted on Coursera.  There is no Coursera IT Support Professional Cert.

And, you finished after it expired.

If you are lucky, Google is working with ACE behind the scenes and will get this course renewed, and it will be backdated and there will be no issues, and you'll have ACE credit later.  But for now, no such luck.

Update Edit:

Ok so after going back and forth with with Credly for a few days they finally got back to me and they re-added the ACE rec onto the Google IT Support badge so you should refresh your pages and if it still doesn't show I'd contact them yourself to resend the updated badge if they don't automatically do it for everyone.  I have attached a picture of how yours should look now.
