At Excelsior is it a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts or Liberal Studies? EC is very confusing with this. In some places it states LA and in others it states LS. Right now I have LA on my resume because it sounds better. But which one is correct?

As I understand it , at Excelsior in the Liberal Arts School, for the Bachelor degree you will complete either a major or the liberal studies option.
The one you complete will determine the type of degree you get.
I completed my degree using the liberal studies option, so my degree type will be BS Liberal Studies.

I list mine as Liberal Arts because that is how the degree is listed on my transcript. There is no mention of "Liberal Studies" anywhere on the transcript or diploma.

Katterina,
Thanks for sharing that info, my degree confers on 2/19/10 and I was basing my answer on the info they sent me, such as their pink form titled "diploma information", which lists my degree type as BS Liberal Studies.
I did pull out a transcript I ordered in Aug 09 and that lists the program as
Liberal Arts.
So I can totally understand the OP's confusion, as I am now confused.

I was equally confused when I got my transcript. Just about every document I had seen referred to the program as Liberal Studies.
I don't mind, though. I had a lot of people ask me what Liberal Studies was while I was working on the degree, but I've never had anyone ask me what Liberal Arts means.
