Some say on the Collegeboard website - others do not.
Example - I've seen it reported that the Social Sciences and History Exam is worth 6 credits. But when I look
here - I don't see anything mentioned.
I've also seen it reported that Analazing and Interpreting Literature is also 6 credits. But I don't see confirmation of that here:
https://clep.collegeboard.org/exam/literature
On the other hand - the College Composition exam details specifically state that it's 6 credits.

Am I just missing it?
Thanks!

It depends on the exam, the score, and the school. For science and language exams, some schools grant more credit for higher scores. Some schools grant lab credit for biology and chemistry. Biology and chemistry can be either 3 or 6 hours (no lab credit) or 4 or 8 hours. Usually a 50 is the get credit score (I'm avoiding using pass or fail), but I've seen some schools have lower thresholds, such as 48 or 49.
Sometimes you can find the official statement in the school's general catalog.
63 CLEP Sociology
75 CLEP U.S. History II
63 CLEP College Algebra
70 CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature
68 DSST Technical Writing
72 CLEP U.S. History I
77 CLEP College Mathematics
470 DSST Statistics
53 CLEP College Composition
73 CLEP Biology
54 CLEP Chemistry
77 CLEP Information Systems and Computer Applications

And for those who are looking up the university's listing on CollegeBoard's website, you can't always assume that information is correct/updated. Always contact the school in question to find out their CLEP information. Sometimes there are even some limitations that you wouldn't find mentioned on the CollegeBoard website -- for instance, maybe the school limits not only the number of CLEP credits you can have, but also requires that all CLEP testing be completed within the first year of schooling (or I have seen some state you must complete you CLEP credits before you have earned 30 semester units from their university which would typically be before the end of the second semester). Little details that can really trip you up if you aren't aware of them before you start!

don't even look at the college board site- each individual college will decide for themselves. You can get an estimate from the site, but no matter what it says or doesn't say, they are the maker of the test, not the awarder of the credit.

They're regionally accredited, accept 45 CLEP and DSST credits in transfer. Sounds good! What are you going to study?

And, you get to keep whatever it's locked in at. Example: If your CLEP test was accepted as 6 credits with an A then you will still have that even if the test is later changed to 3 credits and pass/fail. (This is a hypothetical for there is NO CLEP test I have ever heard of that was ever worth 6 credits and carried a letter grade as well).
