Colleges Other Than Big Three

Hi,  as an international student i elaborate on other colleges than big three. I know about the wgu, but it does not accept international students. So, are there any other colleges or universities that come up with a flexible credit transfer policy just as the big three? Thanks in advance

You can look at some competency programs possibly if speed is your goal.

The Big 3 allow 114 of 120 credits transferred in. The other schools allow up to 90 credits, with a majority offering LESS than that. I know many that only allow up to 60 or even up to a max of 30 credits transferable. Your other option is Competency Based degrees that allow up to 90 credits. Each college/university requires a set of courses that are done at the institution either online or through regular campus-based courses. Check the wiki or do a search for competency based degrees, I would recommend Brandman as it's non-profit, but for the price, Walden is half off right now.

@bjcheng77 that half off is only for American students. I applied for information to thier Masters in CJ, no half off for me.

Oh crap, that's right, lol - they even mentioned international students in the first post, haha... oh wells, Walden's pretty cheap even without the half off, they're on par with Brandman. Another option would be Capella Flex Path, about the pricing as Walden's structure... I would check out a few of the Competency Based degree providers and see which Degree and Pricing suits you.

You're looking at their normal online bachelor's program, for which there is no discount. You need to be looking at their Tempo competency-based programs. For the Tempo BS in Criminal Justice, the proper link is:

At the top of that page it lists the 50% discount:

I'm just throwing out potential options:

What about SNHU?

They accept up to 90 credits; like WGU, they also accept ACE and nationally accredited transfer credits (bring in Ashworth, Penn Foster, or University of The People for cheap NA credits).

The downside is tuition is currently $320 per credit hour, so you're looking at $9,600 USD to complete your degree once you've amassed your 90 transferrable credits.

While not as budget friendly as the Big 3 & WGU, your total cost would still be much lower than the traditional B&M route.

Another option is APUS (AMU/APU). Similar to WGU & SNHU, they allow a total of 90 credits and accept ACE and NA credits.

However, I believe they have a cap of 60 credits from non-traditional sources (ACE/CLEP), so you'll HAVE to source some cheap NA credits to make it work.

Tuition is currently $285 per credit hour plus a $65 technology fee per course, so you're looking at $9,200 to finish once you've compiled your 90 transferrable credits.

Both options are regionally accredited, so graduate degree options will be plentiful; financial aid is available for US students.

Additionally, both schools accept international students.

Colorado State University Global accepts up to 90 ACE credits.  The 30 credits would cost you $10,500.  Plus it is a state university.  No liberal arts program - business, computing, health care admin, criminal justice etc.
