College Algebra ALEKS course for ACE credit?
#1
I've been reading this forum for a while trying to navigate a plan for my 17 year old son.  He's currently taking College Algebra through ALEKS.  I had thought he would earn 3 credits through ACE once he mastered 70% of the material, but I see now that may not be the case (he began in mid-August).  Does anyone have information about this?  Is he wasting his time, or does it seem they'll eventually re-certify ALEKS for ACE credit?

I certainly don't want him to waste his time or money.  Is there an alternative to recommend?  His goal is an Entrepreneurship degree through TESU.  Thanks for your guidance!

Sadly, I don't think ALEKS is renewing/extending their ACE Recommendation...
If you have a ModernStates account, get the CLEP vouchers for free, otherwise...
I would recommend using any ACE or NCCRS provider in getting the credits you need.
Davar, Saylor, Shmoop, Straighterline and Study.com are the ones I usually recommend.
They are probably the cheapest/easiest/fastest of the bunch for ACE/NCCRS credits.

ALEKS is no longer an option for college credit. Have him finish most of the pie for you, and then do a few College Algebra practice tests. If he does well, have him take the CLEP exam.

With the recent announcement here on the board that ALEKS has extended I realized I never asked to anyone if ALEKS college algebra will come in at TESU as MATH 121 College Algebra. Can anyone confirm this?  I only ask because of study.com.  You have to take Math 103 Precalc to come in as MATH 121.

Any guidance is appreciated.
