Darn, they don't tell you how much it is for that term in the FAQ: What is the cost?

Instead of paying for each course during a semester, Pace+ students pay one, low fee for a 14-week term that allows them to move as quickly as they like.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out the cost but the program looks promising.

I figure it's their way of saying, "We don't know how much it's going to cost, but we are going to gauge interest first so we can probably charge more if there are more people who sign up for the interest list!"

That being said, ya boy has signed up for the interest list just for the heck of it.

Another community college in California is doing CBE and looks like the cost is $504 per term full time and $252 for part time.

Southwestern College CBE Accelerate programs include a Certificate of Achievement in Automotive Brake and Suspension Systems (ABS And Four-Wheel Alignment) and an Associate in Science in Automotive Technology.

"You can attempt the final assessment when you’re ready after you complete the learning online."
"You only come to campus for assessments."

It does look very interesting if you live close to Southwestern College.

By the way, Coastline opening their application sign up on June 2 and updated their pricing.
The Subscription Fee is calculated as follows:

  • Resident Students
    • 6 units x the Enrollment Fee ($46 per unit)

  • Non-Resident Students*
    • 6 units x the Non-Resident Tuition Fee plus the Enrollment Fee ($446 per unit)

The first 14 week term is starting July 14, 2025 and yikes they just updated the specific language about costs:
- $317 per 14 week term for CA residents($22.64 per week)
- $2717 per 14 week term for non-CA residents ($194.07 per week)

-UMPI is still better at $1700 per 8 week term ($212.50 per week)
- Pace+ at Coastline is only good for CA residents

Instead of paying for each individual course, Pace+ students pay one low subscription fee that allows them to complete as many courses as they would like during a 14-week term.

For the term starting July 14, 2025:
Resident students pay $317.00 Per term
Non-resident students pay $2717.00 Per term

Military Contact Education Students
Residents students pay $276.00 Per term
Non-resident students pay $1500.00 per term

They aren't taking transfer credit at this time, so I will be holding off on enrolling.
