Doctor of Criminal Justice PennWest California

While searching online I stumbled across this Doctor of Criminal Justice from PennWest California. I have never heard of this school but they do advertise that they are "The first regionally accredited DCJ degree program in the United States". 

The school says the program can be completed in two years of part-time online study

A comprehensive exam and doctoral research portfolio take the place of a dissertation and a one time "five-day summer residency is your only on-campus program requirement".

WIth 42 credits required and the price tag of $774/cr it is a little on the expensive side but for just north of $30k and two years to get a doctorate degree it seems worth it to me and it might to you as well. I figure a good percentage of those who would be interested might have the GI bill to burn through anyway. 

Also noted there is an included "Criminal Justice Instructor Development" certificate.

To be admitted you'll need a masters degree in criminal justice, criminology or a cognate discipline such as law (criminal justice-related LL.M.), anthropology, sociology, psychology or public administration.
