Starting MEd in Mathematics in the Fall at Chadron State College. Signed up for 2 classes, hopefully it is not too big of a bite for me....I will be looking for a teacher's position , so I can get my Masters free, but if not, I will pay out of pocket-it has been a long road deciding as I was not sure what direction to take....
I think this is the right one, wish me luck

I almost signed up with them for my MBA, I think you made a great choice!
(at the time WNMA was so much cheaper...that's why I didn't attend Chadrron)

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

That's awesome, do you already know they're hiring teachers or are you just going in with a whim...
In either case, it's an awesome choice. I was looking into a similar teaching technology/education degree and had did a little research.

I did not know, I am certified to teach Math in NJ and currently looking for the right spot. I do have a wonderful full time job now, but it is not my calling
I have been deciding between MBA and Math for almost a year now. I hold BA in Economics and BA in Math, Science and Technology- so I could go both ways. Finally after a lot of thought, pulled the trigger on MEd in Math only because, it would help me if I end up in High School teaching and it would give me opportunity to adjunct in Math at a local college, and maybe get a full time college job one day should I decide.I have not given up on an MBA, but that I'll tackle after this one! Thanks guys

If you are interested in teaching college math, be sure to get at least 18 hours of graduate courses with a Math prefix, which is required by colleges for regional accreditation. Math Ed prefixes might be suitable for teaching developmental math, but teaching developmental level often pays less.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits
