@aussiegbrl, there are a few from TESU who have gone from even a BALS to a higher position in IT, that's because they've got an AAS with an Info System emphasis and also have experience/working in IT. If you're trying to break into IT, it's great you're working on the trifecta, certs, degree, experience. You don't really 'need' an IT degree to be working in the industry or their sub-fields...
It really depends on the student... I would suggest using your tuition assistance/reimbursement on the required courses for residency instead of paying the residency waiver fee and get a double BSBA CIS/BACS, the major requirements can be met with Coursera, Sophia.org, and Study.com combo you can take CS/CIS courses or e-packs and two capstones to get the 15 required credits.
