Don't laugh! I just finished my first course at ALEKS and can't get off the final pie to move to a new course option. I have tried logging out, logging in, but it keeps sending me to that final pie. Basic math in case you are curious! I have some catching up to do before I can take a college level course. Thanks!

You have login to the "master account" to change courses. If you are logging into the student account it doesn't let you change it. Also, make sure ACE has is before you change courses as people in the past have had issues with it loosing the score (if the course you are doing is worth credit of course).
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

No, no credit yet. Master account? I shall go look for it right now. I am hoping to go all the way from basic math through statistics with ALEKS. Not sure how many ALEKS courses Excelsior takes, so not sure how soon to apply for the ACE on courses. Thanks!

You received a different login for the master account when you signed up. This is where you go to change the course or force it to give you a new final exam rather than working through the pie until it pops up.

Depending on the program you intend at Excelsior, credits start at Beginning Algebra, but most of the programs limit you to three courses below the level of Calculus. Also, Pre-Calculus and College Algebra are considered the same course and you are only allowed credit for one statistics. Make sure the courses you select are labelled as ACE evaluated.
Good luck

Thanks Uptonsinclair. Is pre algebra the same thing as beginning algebra? And could qualify as my first real college course?!!! Would I have to make arrangements with Aleks prior to taking the course to have credits sent to Excelsior? I know I have to do something called ACE, but haven't figured out what that is, exactly. Also, I can take three courses prior to calculus and then take calculus and statistics and get credit for all of them?

Have a look at this
page. The courses with the double asterisk are ACE reviewed for credit. ACE stands for American Council on Education. They review non-traditional sources of education and recommend them for college credit if they meet a minimum standard. Once you have finished an ACE reviewed course, you will need to go to
this page and sign up for an account. After each course, find the course on the ACE website and select that you have completed the course. In a day or so your course will show up on your ACE transcript. After that, it is safe to log in to Aleks with your master account, (the one that contains your billing information) and switch the student account to the next course you choose to take. It sounds far more complicated than it is. After the first course is transcribed, they go easy.
You are correct about the three courses below Calculus plus statistics. Unfortunately, Excelsior doesn't offer Calculus.
