RA math option?
#1
Any easy/fast/cheap RA college options for math or stats? Ideally without proctored exam.
Long story short GF met math requirements for degree through Sophia, but she may need an RA math or stats from a college course for substitute teaching requirements. Requirements read bachelors from an RA school, and meet English, Math, and Critical Thinking requirements, which can be done through RA college coursework (instead of taking the tests). She’s should already meet the other two from English 1, and argumentation and/or ethics taken through schools. Basically, to avoid tests, because…. well, test + math = anxiety for her, we’re looking at other routes. Planning on looking at the JC summer school list, but thought you guys may know another source.

There are a few options, I would check out the degree plan for TESU BA Math: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...egree_Plan

And you can also check out the Source of Credit page on the WIKI as well. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sources_of_Credit

Algebra on ASU Universal Learner uses ALEKS. It doesn't have a true final exam like other ASU courses.

If you can find a school that uses ALEKS for stats, it should be similar. Not cheap, but if you can take MAT300 at Strayer somehow, I think they might use ALEKS. MAT210 was a stats-based course (though doesn't count as stats at somewhere like TESU). It used ALEKS and there was no proctored final. MAT300 should be similar; except it is literally called Statistics, so it should count.

TESU has the MAT-105-TE Applied Liberal Arts Mathematics TECEP exam.  It may be an exam, but it is RA credit (is proctored)

Unfortunately, TECEPs are pass/fail. Aside from them being 100% proctored exams, the pass/fail aspect means they may not work for the intended purpose.

Also ASU's new statistics course launching May 16 is unproctored. $25 to take it and $400 if you pass it, like your grade, and want to transcript it.

I forgot/didn't realize that ASU will have a stats course so soon. That's a great option! I would go with that.
