Dumb question: But are the CSU Global ACE accredited or am I actually sending college credit from CSU to TESU when I finish. How long did that process take?
Glad to help. Good luck!
Not a dumb question, as I was confused about this myself. It's not ACE accredited, but it's a CBE (think of it as in the same category as CLEP, but CSU's version of it). All you'll need to send is your transcript once you pass (you can fill out the transcript request form and e-mail registrar to request it--I got mine the same day after e-mailing).

CLEP isn't the best comparison, it's more like TECEP. It doesn't particularly need ACE because it's offered by a regionally accredited institution

I passed the first attempt. 78 %! grading took 1 day. I did my test yesterday at 12:30 and I see my grade today. I read the book, I studied the flash cards at the end.
SO two things about the test. The beginning questions are the short answer a lot of those 5 questions focus on a certain process. Chapter 8 of the book is heavy on the exam I took. Seemed like all the ones I must have missed were involved with data flow diagrams and ERD and other things of that naturre.
I printed out the key terms in the last chapter and spent 20 minutes crossing out all the key terms that were from chapter 9 and on. A lot of questions just have 1 of the key terms on it. SO that was the obvious answer even if you didn't know the question,

Congrats! Can I ask how long you studied for the exam? And how are you completing the programming requirement?

I finished Straighterline for C++ 4 credits. I found it hard.
System Analysis and Design maybe 10-15 hours of on and off studying. Easily done in 6-8 hours of studying with focus. Read the chapters + chapter reviews and you will be good to go.

Hello Everyone, I will be taking this CBE after the Xmas Holidays and the New Year.
Just wondering if it really differs if I have an older edition? I think the one CSU Global uses is the 6th Edition.
I have access to the 5th Edition, should I just rent the newer version before taking the exam? Does it matter?
The textbook I believe should be: Essentials Of Systems Analysis & Design
And it should be by Valacich, Joseph. Edition: 6, Publisher: Pearson
For those who took this exam and StraighterLine C++ programming, which would be the harder course?
Would you say that this course is harder than the SL C++? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Goals: TESU BSBA GM (Added CIS) and BA Computer Science
BSBA GM - Added CIS AOS (CIS & GM completed)
BACS & Grad Plans (BACS instead of BALS w/NSM)
AAS ACS & ESST: Remaining - Associate Capstone
ASNSM CS: Completed, ASNSM Math: Remaining - Calculus I
Taking a majority of credits at Sophia.org, SL, and Study.com to finish these degrees
Updating my courses remaining by following forum advice, guide, spreadsheet & wiki

I found the C++ to be the more difficult class. I think that the systems analysis edition does not matter. I read the book once and than quizzed and requizzed using the provided quizzes. I scored 70 on the initial pretext and 84 on the actual exam after a week of studying.
