Has anyone taken CRJ 230 - Research Method in CJ and CRJ 332 - Juve Justice at UMPI? if so, was it difficult? I am currently taking it at Study.com and it's not as easy as I thought it was. 

Also, CRJ 496: Field Experience in Criminal Justice is that like interning at a local police department?

CRJ 496 - Field Experience in Criminal Justice/Sociology
3, 6 or 12 credits

Supervised field experience in a criminal justice or social service agency. Course can be taken for variable credit (3 or 6 hours) determined by hours completed at the field site. Course can be taken for 12 credit hours when student is completing full law enforcement academy training. Courses may be repeated for up to 18 credits.

I reached out to Professor Luduc a year ago and posted her reply in the Field experience thread.

I can't answer your other questions directly, but have you taken SDC's Criminal Law and Intro to Criminal Justice courses? I did those and was dipping my toes into the Juvenile Justice course to get more info on court cases, and I can see that I have 22% complete in Juvie now. Maybe the overlap could help consider things from a different angle? And Research Methods in Criminal Justice looks like a broad overview of social science research methodology, so I wonder if UMPI's course would have you produce something like a lit review, or even combine one with a formal research proposal. That may be more or less straightforward than SDC's assignments.
