CLEP passing scores?
#1
Exclamation
I logged into CLEP dashboard and see that they recorded the CLEP scores on a different scale than when I took the test. I remember asking about the scores I received on these when I took them, and members here said they were strong scores. Right now the dashboard shows:

Intro to marketing 70
Intro to Management 70
Intro to Sociology 60

That seems low. Are these high enough to earn credit at TESU? What is the minimum acceptable score for any of the big 3?

When I took the tests, the final score was measured in hundreds. Does anybody know why it changed?

Thanks.

Hope this helps

I think the current scores (final) range from 20 to 80, and TESU + ACE accept 50 and up.

TESU requires 50's. Can't speak to COSC or Exc, but it's probably the same for them as well.
The scores look low, because we are so accustomed to a 100 point grade scale. CLEPs don't run on a 100 point scale. They run on an 80 point scale. Your score of 70 is really a 70/80, so its essentially a 87.5% (The tests are generally graded on a curve so this isn't really the case, but you get the idea).

You should be good to go. Best of luck.

I started this journey in the summer of 2016.  I hoped to be done sooner, but I am still proud of the rate at which I have gotten my schooling done with respect to the many months of military training and deployments I have undergone.
