Hi,
I am interested in taking the requirements for the CA Real Estate Broker exam. I would like to take the classes from a regionally accredited self-paced schools as I would like to use the requirement classes to improve my GPA for graduate school. Does anyone know about a regionally accredited school that would have courses like this?

The classes that count for the broker exam are available at CA community colleges, but I don't know of any that are self-paced at RA schools. The RE courses sometimes involve a lot of memorization, which could lead to a B grade or lower. I don't think of RE classes as easy GPA boosters. They are classes that I seriously consider changing from letter grade to Pass/No Pass.

I've only ever seen the courses at my community colleges. But you could probably do a search and come up with some other options.

This one is nationally accredited. I wonder if that would pose a problem if I were to use the transcript to UK and USA schools?

For US schools, there are plenty of schools that will accept NA credentials, especially so if they were NA before they received their RA status. In regards to the UK accredited schools, I do believe they will perceive a US education on an evaluation basis and just look at it as "accredited" as it is recognized by either USDOE or CHEA or both.

Very few RA schools will accept coursework from NA schools. Even schools with liberal transfer politicies like the Big 3 stay away from NA coursework. Going the NA is generally advised against, and for good reason.

Further to what I mentioned, you can check their requirements online:
Broker:
Requirements to Apply for a Real Estate Broker License - CalBRE
If you don't have two years exp and if you don't have a salesperson license, see here:
Salesperson:
Requirements to Apply for a Real Estate Salesperson License - CalBRE
It has a paragraph in regards to acceptable programs and a hyperlink to a search for them.
Even state wide accredited schools are acceptable, that is what it says. You need to decide.
Again, there are a few schools that are RA and accept NA credits, find a school you want to attend and email them.
If you have more schools in mind, or through the search, you can email them as well for clarification and request info.

Why not just ask the broker you work under?
There are courses all over the net that provide the course. Most are self paced and pretty easy.
Make sure you have the other requirements first ... I.E three years with a broker , etc.

check with your state, I know every state requires a certain number of hours. I don't know that you won't be able to accomplish that in a self-paced class, but I've never heard of it as an option. My son is registered to start in August (we are in NC) and all of the courses I checked out were non-credit or CEU credit.
