Business/Management Degree for my father

If your father did not complete high school and wants to enroll in UMPI, he can present an alternative exam like HiSET or GED. However, he will still need some type of certificate or diploma. UMPI doesn't require a high school diploma if one already has an associate degree. Pierpont's free associate degree should take care of this problem.

keep in mind my dad lives in cologne, germany. Is pierpont still free then? do they require a ged? could you link me a degree plan for pierpont or tell me how to get it as far as i know you need 1ra credit?

Pierpont is only for US citizens and green card holders.

So you, or your father, still will need to do all the sophia courses, or from any other place you fancy.

If you look price wise ged+sophia+UMPI seems the most economically sound. But that is for a Bachelor. Please correct me if wrong.

It'll get complicated and slow things to a halt... sad reality is exactly that, there are 'give/takes' in your energy, money, time, spent on completing a degree. There are conflicting info here, you mention your dad can put in all his time as he's unemployed, yet there are commitments as he has you and the toddler to take care of when the spouse (mom) is at work!

Seriously, what needs to happen is have a plan of attack, what exact time frame do you and your dad have to work on the educational goal? An hour a day on the weekday, and 5 hours on a weekend, is an example... Another question is, which country was he from? If he knows that secondary language, he can try a second ACTFL for more credits to get things done faster. UMPI AALS & BLS in any minor is my advice.

Last but not least, you're expecting too much and not being realistic, it's great to have an end goal of UIUC or UTPB and an AACSB Masters, but you haven't grasped that these are competitive programs, they are great goals to shoot for but you need a backup or two in case both fails (you don't have 60 graded credits, or whatever the reasons may be). I suggest other 'lesser known' yet more affordable AACSB or ACBSP options in addition to those.

Oh I didnt notice that this might be confusing, my dad and I dont live together as my parents are divorced, the mentioned toddler is my half brother. He is unemployed but my half brother goes to kindergarten til afternoon so he has a lot of time on his hand to get work done. He is from Iran and speaks German, Farsi, English and Dutch. Yeah those programs are hard to get into but as far as I remember I asked if there are other similar programs that users here would recommend.
