Yes!! (May 2012) I think they lost their accreditation in 2016 and their accrediting agency had their ties cut with Dept of Ed in 2021 .... (ugh!)

In that case I'd look at Excelsior since they do accept NA credit. I'd apply to see what they accept before doing anything else. UMPI does sometimes accept some NA credit, but their website says they don't. She could apply their too and see what they say. I would apply before developing any sort of plan to see if these credits will transfer given the school's problems.

I'm not sure which degree program at WGU could make use of the biomedical technology and electronics credits. Liberty University and APUS have more degree options. Excelsior has more flexible degree plans plus an electrical engineering technology program.

This is kind of perfect for UMPI or possibly WGU. The others have at least two classes that are longer than 8 weeks: capstone & cornerstone. Also, despite NA status, I would suggest applying to UMPI and sending in the Brown Mackie credits. Worst UMPI can do is say no. But they have accepted a handful of NA credits in the past. They might accept these. They might not.
If UMPI does accept the credits, defer enrollment for a session or two until all/most of the GEC requirements have been met with Sophia/SDC.
EC offers all of their courses as 8-week options.

First, I'm guessing that your friend has 96cr because it was a quarter-based school system and 96 x ⅔ = 64cr (and that would make each course worth 2.67cr).
I did a quick look at several degrees:
EXCELSIOR
--------------
BSB - this is where you're going to lose a bunch of credits, because there's very little room for free electives. 85cr/29 courses remain
BSL - will obviously be the most flexible, but prob not get you where you want to go - 58cr/20 courses remain
BPS - a great combo of the 2 above degrees, this is where you'll get the most bang for your buck: 61cr/21 courses remain
Everything can be done via alt-credit except 7cr at EC (you could do cornerstone & Info Lit in 1 8-week term and capstone in 2nd 8-week term). Tuition will be $4000.
WGU
--------------
The good news - they have a BSB in Healthcare Management, they take NA, AND they will accept the AA/AS degree as fulfilling the GE requirements. The bad news - no free electives, so you lose a lot of credits. But this degree may be the one your friend wants.
87cr remain after the GE courses are waived, and Business Comm comes in; here's what you can do:
Sophia
-------------------------
Intro to Business
Business Law
Principles of Finance
Project Management
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics
Study.com
-------------------------
Business 107: Organizational Behavior
Business 106: Human Resource Management
Accounting 101: Financial Accounting AND
Accounting 102: Intro to Managerial Accounting
Business 102: Principles of Marketing
Business 101: Principles of Management
Business 120: International Business
Business 212: Business Statistics
Communications 301: Diversity and Intercultural Communication
Business 315: Logistics & Supply Chain Management
*I'd say the last 2 are optional - you might have less work if you did them at WGU
If you did all of the above, you'd have 15 courses/45cr to complete at WGU. That's a lot (less than 2 weeks per class) but it's doable in 1 term.
--------------------------------------
If it were me, I'd do the WGU degree because it gets you what you want - Business AND Healthcare Management. But I'm sure others will chime in about why UMPI is a better option. They are a good option for many, but in this particular instance, I don't think they are the BEST option.

Just keep in mind if they choose the WGU route as dfrecore suggested above, they must transfer in all outside credit BEFORE starting. You cannot transfer credits in after you enroll with WGU (which is not the same thing as applying, sending in credits and then seeing where you stand).
You may want to apply to all three UMPI, WGU and EXCELSIOR, then you'll be able to see where you stand and which offers the quickest (and lowest cost) option to getting the degree done. You can't go wrong with any of the schools - once you have a plan.

I would also strongly suggest that your friend get their own account on this forum. They might decide they'd rather do something like Purdue Global because they like one of those degree programs better.

Update - WGU will officially take Brown Mackie credits. The AAS covers all but one of the 30 GenEd credits needed. Still waiting to hear back from UMPI and Excelsior on Brown Mackie.

Awesome. If WGU is chosen, make sure to check out https://partners.wgu.edu/ (specifically, Sophia, Study.com, and Straighterline) to see what else can be taken ahead of time for the desired degree. WGU Academy might also be worth a look, but possibly not at this point.

It really depends on what your friend decides on, did they just apply to Excelsior, UMPI and WGU? It's best to wait for evaluations from *ALL* the institutions your friend has applied to, see which one is closest to finish. You always want to take into account the number of courses remaining and also how cheap, easy, fast it is to complete them all. It may be better to do a CBE option if they're more inclined to that option, or for Excelsior if they just want to take the minimum courses from the institution.
