Anybody else who read the article come away feeling like the author is saying that Canadian schools are good for Brits who aren’t smart enough for OxBridge or rich enough for Ivy League?

It seemed like it was all about people who weren't accepted into Oxford/Cambridge so they went elsewhere. There's a huge error in the article ALL schools in the US do NOT require the SAT exam. Most schools here that do require it for recent high school grads waived the requirement during the pandemic because no one could take the exam.

I expect it's largely because earning a degree in Canada and residing permanently in Canada afterwards is a lot easier than earning a degree in the U.S. and residing permanently in the U.S. afterwards.
