Well COSC takes FEMA freebof charge, Excelsior will make you run them through FCC for about $80/credit. TESU won't take them at all. That not to say either of those can't be great choices. There are other criteria. Edited....I shouldn't walk and text.

I did this back in 2011, of course things change all the time and he would need to apply and check me out...always the possibility there is the odd requirement or two they will make you complete.

You definitely have four UL courses with the NYPD Academy for TESU. AOJ 314 Crisis Intervention, AOJ 401 Terrorism, AOJ 302 Police Role in Community, and AOJ 304 Community Policing 2.

John Jay is another big one. They transfer in 28 credits from the PA. They also have a leadership program for NYPD, DOC, and FDNY uniformed members. It's a certificate and applies 12 credits towards your BA for free.

Most people just ask for help and don't provide the details necessary to answer the question! Based on the type of credit, I'm going to suggest you look at COSC first - you'll have no trouble using CCRS and FEMA. EDIT to add: The other schools suggested in this thread probably won't take your FEMA. FEMA is the issue, not your police credit. Since you have so much of it, I would absolutely at least get an official application sent in. Send your transcripts and see what they say. Once you see what fills the blanks, you'll hvae an idea of what's left to do and then you can get targeted suggestions from people here. Unless there is some reason NOT to use COSC, that would be my first stop.

I was going to wait until I got my undergrad first and then take the leadership courses towards my graduate degree to get the best bang for my buck. |
