advice on degree path

Does TAMUC even still want your HS diploma even though you have an AAS? Some schools do, others don't care. Once you have a first degree, your HS diploma no longer matters to the second type of school. UMPI, for instance, no longer cares about your HS diploma if you have an Associate degree.

I have emailed TAMUC to ask, but I am also in the process of obtaining my HS transcript. It is not too far of a drive for me to pick up the transcript.

They never asked for mine since I had 12 RA credits. You have way more than I did so I'd assume they wouldn't ask you.

@ltw900rr, For the TAMUC BAAS, if you ever wanted to come back for a Masters or something, such as a Business, IT, or whatever else you're interested in, you may want to check out what the requirements are for the Masters and take that part of your TAMUC BAAS OL. You don't need a Business degree to get into an MBA, nor an IT degree to get into the MSIT, etc...

Most institutions require you have the prerequisites completed, including Masters in Applied Computer Science and so on... That's your 'option' is if you want to get ready for the next level, prepare for it. If the BAAS is your final degree goal (for now anyways), then take whatever is left that is required to complete the degree. Continue onward, don't rush, go at your pace...

I just got off the phone with TAMUC and they told me that I was entered into the computer as a freshman (that is why it wanted my high school transcript). They updated it and said it would go to review next to look at my transcript from community college. Fingers crossed.

That makes more sense. I transferred in 84 credits and they put me in as a junior. Once they accept your transcript from.CC you shouldn't need your HS transcript.

I'm back with some updates,

I can finally see how they evaluated my transcript. I am attaching a google doc below.

Here is a summary of credits applied from SJC towards TAMUC

English 1301 in Communication (010)

Sociology 1301 in social and behavioral science (080)

Business and professional speech in (090) need 1 more class

For professional development electives they transferred credit for auto classes and other classes from SJC
Still need 6 UL at TAMUC for this area

71 HRS transferred, 51 HRS transferred towards the degree.

Most of the classes I am missing are core classes.

Help me make a plan of attack for this. What can I take through Sophia vs TAMUC.
