Least painful English Composition for TESC??
#11
Thanks for asking about options that are not just cheap and quick, English Comp I is so important which those who have responded to this thread already should have confirmed for you. There are several self paced options to consider: Straighterline is of course the usual route to TESC credits if you want to do your work fast, but it is not necessarily the cheapest if you want to take your time and are not using the subscription fees for any other courses. If you would like to take self-paced comp. from a real university whose credits will transfer to far more schools than TESC, take a look at Independent Study at Idaho: English-Independent Study in Idaho-University of Idaho It's reasonably priced and you will get feedback from real college professors in a painless stress free environment. It's a little more work than Straighterline, but the outcomes are exactly what you would get in a real college semester long class with credentials accepted almost everywhere. Good luck.

Be careful with the English 101 class at the Independent Study of University of Idaho. The transcript reads as "P" or "NP" instead of a letter grade (A, B, C, etc.). I took this course several years ago, and it wouldn't transfer to any of the local colleges near my home. Check into whether it will transfer to the college of your choice. I took the English 102 class as well, and it DID have a letter grade. I had no problems transferring that course into other colleges. I ended up taking English 101 at the Independent Study of the University of Wyoming. It was very similar to Idaho's course. And I liked that it didn't have a final exam.
