I am taking the clep exam for information systems on Tuesaday. I am terrified to say the least. I know how to use a computer pretty good. I can do power points, word documents, etc. I have pretty much no knowledge of exel. I have been using the instacert flash cards to study and reading some from a textbook. Some of the technical terms ( ASCII, TCP/IP, peripheral devices and inner workings make me a little anxious. I just would really like as much infor as possible from those of you who have taken it on what to expect. Is it really hard and very technical or is it more application of computers meaning its uses. I have all weekend to study and am trying very hard, I just need would like some guidance and advise. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think that the IC Information Systems flashcards are pretty accurate for giving the type of questions and wording that you can expect. In addition, I don't recall the actual test expanding beyond what you find with IC. In other words, if you run through the IC sections a few times and are familiar with the material, then you can test with confidence.

And be sure to check out the Specific Feedback area for this subject! A lot of people have recommended studying the Management Information Systems DSST materials in addition to the Computer Apps and Info Systems materials.
