How long do transcripts from SDC and Credly take to arrive at UMPI?

I plan on applying to UMPI Yourpace sometime next week and would like to know how long it takes for transcripts to arrive. I read that the deadline for transcripts is 12/29. Do electronically-sent transcripts take multiple business days to arrive? While most of my Sophia courses are done, I still have to do the SDC Bio101L. And I'm afraid it will take me two weeks or so to finish if I start tomorrow. I'm also not sure how long grading takes for that course. I plan on getting it sent to UMPI immediately after I finish it.

Contact Jessica, she’ll likely have you send what you have finished now, get you in the books and have you updated the transcript when the new classes finish. I have been able to get all kinds of courses approved after enrollment so I’ve always wondered why the note on the forum recommends waiting…

Is there any way to know when UMPI receives your transcripts? I've only seen when the transfer credits are added, but I never had an academic evaluation. My first round of transcripts was sent six months ago, and they took two months to show up. I received permission to send my next round of transcripts three weeks ago, and no update since. Of the six schools to which I've submitted transcripts, UMPI is far and away the slowest to process them.

Not really. It's not like they show up in your MaineStreet account not until after they're evaluated. They aren't processed by UMPI. The U of M system processes the applications and some of the transcripts now. This changed last year and it has drastically slowed down the process. When I reapplied last summer (2021) to go back for my second bachelor's degree, it still took almost a month for everything to be processed. I contacted Shea and was like what is going on - it shouldn't take this long. I'm already a graduate and I had great grades so that's not the issue. She said the system is just really slow now and that the U of M system is now processing applications. I would NOT wait until the deadline to apply. I'd apply now and send all transcripts now. Sending an updated transcript seems to go much faster once you're accepted and in the system.

Im still a bit confused. I applied November 21. Had first set of transcripts send over a week ago electronically. When I log into my Mainstreet account, it dosent show any updated status and I havent been assigned an advisor. If I sent the last of my transcrips this coming week, would I meet the deadline or is it only met when it is processed before 12/29?

So you have enrolled and were still able to complete outside course credits from Sophia, Study etc? Its just a matter of contacting Jessica? Did you have this experience this year or in the past?

You won't be assigned an advisor until you've been accepted into UMPI. Transcripts can take a few weeks to be processed. You have to apply before 12/29. Updating transcripts can be done after you're accepted.

Once you're enrolled, you'll need permission from your academic advisor to transfer in additional courses. All you do is send an email to them letting them know which class you want to take from where and ask if it is all right to transfer it in. It's rare that they say no.
