BAS (for AAS holders) vs BLS

So interesting to see that so many here are leaning towards an AAS. I was checking the requirement to to be admitted at NWCUlaw and the only degree that they do not take is the AAS.
This is what the have to say about it:
"Unlike the Associate of Arts degree and the Associate of Science degree, the Associate in Applied Arts degree and the Associate in Applied Science degree are considered vocational degrees and do not satisfy the California Bar’s eligibility requirements."

I thought you needed a bachelor's degree at a minimum to get into law school. I can't imagine any law school admitting students who only have an associate degree. Honestly, an associate degree in no way prepares anyone for law school.

This is a self-study "law school" that allows you to sit for the CA state bar - but no other states.  It's one of only a few states that allows this - you don't need a Bachelor's degree nor a law degree there - you can pass the bar to become a lawyer (and it's considered one of the hardest bars to pass in the country).

Weird. Not sure I'd want an attorney who didn't attend law school, but hey it's Cali and they are unique.....I'll leave it at that. LOL

My boyfriend is thinking of doing the BAS. CAn he do a minor with it?

He's in between the BABA-Marketing or the BAS in Management and be done quickly.

He has the pierpoint AAS already.

California is like this for a lot of things. If you can prove you can pass the certification tests California usually lets you practice in a lot of things.

New Mexico is another state, they even let non-medical doctors prescribe medicine in New Mexico lol

Not just can, he must declare a minor. It is the degree requirement, pretty much similar to BLS. 
I did two minors for my BAS.

Thanks! He's a real estate agent but he wants a fallback. He's trying to decide between marketing or management right now.

I would think that both marketing and management are good options for someone in real estate. You have to market yourself effectively to get more clients. And you have to efficiently manage operations in order to show homes and put them on the market in a timely manner.

There isn't a marketing minor. There's the marketing concentration with the BABA.

Is the BAS also $1400-1500 a term?

BAS is NOT a YourPace program, if you are able to get into the BAS degree because you have enough technical credits (40+), you can get permission to utilize the YourPace courses towards the degree, thus you can get the required remaining credits for $1500/session.
