Can one of the UMPI alumni help me out and let me know if The 1st project management class 141 can be taken at Sophia? I have seen conflicting information about this class. Some say it's ok and some say to take at UMPI as it prepares the framework for further courses.
Wanted to inquire as my daughter is taking some Sophia courses in preparation to transfer.
Thanks!

Yes and no, for the exact reasons you mentioned.
Yes - If you're not going to be taking any further Project Management courses
No - If you're going to take the BABA PM major or BLS PM minor

I've taken the course at UMPI. You don't have to take it UMPI. But by taking it at UMPI, you will have an idea what the professor wants in BUS400 & BUS401. You create what the professor calls a template in BUS141 that you'll use in those 2 courses. It makes those projects much faster to complete. BUS141 is PMI based which is the gold standard of project management. Sophia's course is not PMI based and very different from PM at UMPI.

I took Sophia's PM course for BUS 141 and completed a Goggle Cert for BUS 400. I took BUS 401 through UMPI and had no trouble completing the course. I don't feel that having taken BUS 141 through Sophia slowed me down at all.
